Haha, you're right. That might be a little too scary. I'm just reminded of that movie - The Invention of Lying. I haven't actually seen it, but the concept sounded interesting - a guy who invents lying, in a world that only knows how to tell the truth. I need to watch that some time.

Bby the last "new" movie I saw was on dvd... last month and it was the 3rd Hobbit >////< I'm awful at keeping in touch with pop culture even with things I like XDDD I'm a hermit. I spend more time re-watching old favorites X-X

I actually haven't seen any of the hobbit movies. I liked the book though. Tbh I didn't like LotR as a book, it was just way too dense. The movies were dumbed down enough for me to enjoy though. I like my popculture light and fluffy with the occasional plot. No to horror or thinking too hard. Being cerebral is too much work.

YES! OMG LotR the first time I read it, it captivated me. Then I just... I can't re-read it because it's dense, and heavy, and too much in some ways. Love the memory of it more than the real thing XD I enjoy the movies though ^-^ A LOT. The Hobbit movies, well if you can accept the changes made to it to stretch it out to 3 movies it's good (the first two at least...). I love Martin as Bilbo =u= He makes it fun. I like things that are easy to follow along with. Right now I'm re-watching How to Train Your Dragon (the first one) it's fun and not too much. I mean I have favorite movies that take brain and heart to watch... but they're collecting dust. I watch movies for enjoyment not great emotional impact for the most part. Wow long post. My apologies ;-;

I'm well! I was away all weekend at a cottage with Nathan and his family. The power was out for a solid 12 hours which was actually kind of nice xD We coloured, did puzzles, played games and read. I loved it!

Yep! We get along well! His sister is about 5 years younger than me and we enjoy hanging out C: SUPER nice to be away from electricity!

I don't think I even finished the first LotR book, because yeah, I didn't like the writing style. I actually find a lot of classics dense or boring, or both (cough Jane Austen, Wuthering Heights) and therefore un-fun to read. I know, I'm a terrible bibliophile and former English major.

I love how to train your dragon! I watched both movies and the entire TV series on netflix (now netflix keeps recommending me kids movies like Dora facepalm I'm an adult who happened to watch one little (well 3) kids things, and now it thinks I'm 5 years old.) I want to read the book series as well, but they seem completely different from the film world, so I'm a bit unsure if I'll be disappointed.
