Eh, it's more than most people do on top of a full time job. Social media is a good option for independent sellers who don't have the time or resources for more in-depth marketing.

In-depth marketing is too costly.. plus I wouldn't even know where to start.
It doesn't really make sense when you're an independent seller, anyway. Marketing is for businesses that already make a lot of money, to make more money. Sad, but true. That's why small businesses have it so tough.

Gotcha. Yeah it's tough! And not only am I competing with other companies, I'm also competing with other consultants essentially.
I understand 100%. I work with some freelancers at work (albeit they sell skills like writing and art), and finding clients is always the hardest part for them. They're all by themselves for marketing and promotion, but somehow have to convince people to choose them. I don't know if I could ever do that. Though a lot of people in my field do, I prefer being backed by an agency.

Must be nice to have an agency, yeah!
Phew. Almost done all my quests! It'll be the first time in a while!
Probably me, I've been using them a lot.
Yeah. I need to keep a better eye out for the restocks :o
Oh XD Hope you recover well ^^
Good. Went to a cider festival earlier with some friends then home and realised that GoT had started so I'm binge watching now :D
That's so fun! did you try a bunch of different ones?
It's better to watch for them yourself if you're looking for something in particular. But so time consuming :/
Yay for completing all your quests! :)
I've been pretty good about doing mine, because I'm working on the full shop achievement still. So far to go still... After that, I'm gonna take a huge break :P

I tried a few, but not too many because they're surprisingly strong :o I'm a bit of a lightweight XD
Thankfully I have plenty of time now :D
How many items are you at now?

Let's see... "You have a total of 16501 items in your shop." Out of 45,000 needed. So I'm about a third done! I could do it a lot faster if I bought gold and vended 500 items every day. But I don't really feel I need it. I have enough money saved, and if I'm not going to autoprice...
AND OMG I just sold a beanbag for 45m. I don't even know where I got it; it must have been a quest.
[center]
Wow, congrats :o That's pretty awesome! Maybe it was Drills?
Nice! You're building up those items for sure :o
I don't know how you have so much saved XD I need to stop spending sps on everything lol. I'm just getting back up to 100M after my battle spree XD
I thought you weren't selling anything? How are you going about this? Congrats on the beanbag!
Me too. Hence the hangover today xP
It's hard being the lightweight :( /commiserates
It must have been. It was a retired item, and mine was the only one in shops. I guess I didn't pay attention when I got it, because it was pretty ugly - a brown lump.
I think the key is not spending more than I make. I only buy a few new beanbags/plushies/books/wearables with the sp I make from quests. Sometimes I don't even do that, so my savings actually grow. I did spend quite a bit on battle stuff, but those are really the only expensive items I've bought - I'm too cheap for wearables over a certain price :P
I'm only selling items over a million, or easy sells like mage amulets and shinwas items. I have 2 shops, one for all my expensive stuff, and one for all my junk. My expensive shop has less than a 100 items, so I figure I'm not losing out on much item building :P
