I just don't see it having any longevity so I just... decided to let go and quit. Even if it does somehow pull through I cannot see myself putting anymore time, money or effort into it. I love Neo, I hope it makes it - I was there since I was a child but it feels hopeless now and I guess for me it's time to move on.

I have a lot of ucs there and making those available again would really bring me back. I have so many dream pets left (uc rg Cybunny...) that will always stay a dream. To not being able getting your dream pets bored me a lot, I spend more time here now...

I started playing when it first came out, I started getting annoyed with all the "noobs" and the fact that no matter how long I played making a lot of NP was impossible... it was also annoying that so much was "pay to play". I started playing subeta 7 1/2 years ago and gave up on neo for good. I tried logging into my accounts like a year later and lo and behold, they had a rule that deleted all accounts that weren't logged into. I lost my super old accounts, my one had all poogles which was my dream pets... I spent a lot of money getting them.

I'm really surprised it's still around though. Doesn't sound like it will be for long though...

On top of the horrible lag and neglect and the departing of TNT, a big issue for me (and I have been playing neopets for 14 years) is that the users are elitist and rude, and a lot of them are utter trolls. I also can't stand how ridiculously easy it is for you to get your account frozen. TNT would always freeze first, ask questions later.

Not to mention how ridiculously inflated all of the prices are and how hard it is to make NP. Things are hundreds of thousands of NP each and yet a game will give you 1k max.

ah yeah. the elitist. they genuinely believe they are the only honest players, other than them are cheaters, unless you're broke.

ive played on and off for years, but recently tried to get onto my account to find out it was frozen as it was "compromised" now i cant get it back - possibly not such a bad thing as its so awful these days

i made a new account but it's so slow i get to load about 2 pages a day

I've been playing for years and recently came back to try to play regularly because my best friend made an account as a joke (and now has been sucked into the game lol), but the lag is really killing the experience for me. Having pages take ages to load is so painful. I also haven't really gotten a chance to play Ghoul Catchers either because every time I try to log in I just can't seem to connect. :/

I hope Neopets doesn't die off completely, it was such a huge part of my childhood and I really adore the pets I have atm, especially this one aisha I've had for 6+ years :(

I used to play it a lot when I was 14/15, had a lot of friends there and it was a great site imo (remember, that's almost ten years ago), but then they started with all this pets with clothing...and it lost all of it's appeal. My friends quitted also, so there was no reason for me to stay there. I prefer subeta so much more!

I play on and off, but I mostly just lurk and keep my account from getting deleted because of a pet I have. |D Ever since I got wrongly frozen not even minutes later of getting an UC Hissi I've been after for years - I haven't been on it much.

Whoa Elen! Sorry about your account getting hacked. :( I wanted to join when I was little but for some reason our family computer at the time wouldn't cooperate. I joined in August last year, yet I've gotten sad at how difficult it is to earn NP. A lot of good colors(paintbrushes) cost over 800K to 1 million NP a pop. Same for morphing potions, I can save up money more easily on subeta to buy a costly item than on neo. :(

Thank you :) I am ok about it but sometimes I get upset if I think about it I had over 20 million nps, and a lot of unbuyables, not to mention the pets ... sigh..

I used to play it like mad about ten years ago. But then there were two things that burned me out:

1. The pets going customizable made the economy go bonkers and suddenly PBs that were originally 1.2 million shot up to 6 million overnight. It bummed me out that it would take that much more effort to finally get stuff like an Island Grundo and I was sad there were no measures to counteract the artificial inflation, like putting more PBs into the market.

2. I worked for Adam & Donna (and other former TNT staffers, some of whom I'm still friends with) for about two years for a non-Neo venture. It felt weird to go back to it after that.

The only thing that made me return to Neopets every now and then was Keyquest, and even that has been down for months

i came back bc of subeta (the irony) and if you keep in mind the owners fucking suck and you gotta walk on your tippie toes it's not all bad

I used to have an account there but I left about six months before v2 and those hilarious new Pets. Haven't looked back once since, playing flash games to get anywhere was the worst and don't remind me of certain people...x___X

On the bright side I've met some awesome ladies there, a couple of them are still my friends and I love them. <3

Well I used to play it back in the 1999's, but right now it's so awful...

I also have this lingering nostalgia that comes back every so often and it just hurts man, the fact that I want to make a new account and start fresh...but it's not the Neopets I know and love.

Tickets are forgotten unless you keep reminding them of those. Freezes are random. The community has its nice members but most are horrible. The staff used to be more creative. HACKERS, SCAMMERS, DISHONEST PEOPLE WHO HACK ACCOUNTS TO STEAL AND SELL PETS THAT PEOPLE WORKED HARD ON, HACKERS THAT TWEAK GAMES' PROGRAMMING TO GET POINTS AND TROPHIES. THE PETS' DESIGNS WERE SO MUCH BETTER BEFORE THIS STANDARD POSE THING FOR THE WEARABLES. And so much more awful stuff I can't list them all.

I guess I WOULD go back if I had friends to play with, though. Like, actual people who are willing to help me with stuff on there. Because my nostalgia is making me want to scratch my Neopets itch ):

I dropped by there for the first time in forever because why not and...to say the art quality has suffered is a right understatement.

Neopets v2.0 is great, but I hope JumpStart follows through with their list of revisions. It is saddening to see a piece of my childhood in this decrepit state. The plan to keep Neopets afloat via NeoCash currency may have been ideal on paper, but the chance games to win exclusive wearables is sleazy. Those should be for annual and plot events only.
