So I had an attempt at trying to put your idea onto canvas and sadly I can't seem to find a way to make it work as a full page background without taking away too much of the image and making it look too plain. Either the water gets cut out or too much of the beach gets cut out and I can't find a medium to settle for. The columns are no problems, it is just designing around the picture itself and trying to make it work as a full page background that isn't making it too small that it doesn't look well on other resolutions or entirely too big that you don't see anything. Put simply, it just isn't working that way :(
The only way I could see it working is doing something along the lines of this and then having the columns to the right as your request. Let me know what you think. I know it isn't exactly what you asked for but I am hoping it somewhat hits your taste :)
I like it! its very good. I also had a chibi done, im just trying to put it on my forum posts as we speak lol. I dont want to confuse things though. Im happy to go with the bg you've done and a couple of scroll boxes at the right side for my HA and basic info as we discussed. thank you so much for trying so hard, its lovely :0)
I am glad you like it. I kinda rushed it slightly to get a general idea of what it would be like. The chibi in your profile is adorable! I am happy to continue with the current idea or do one based of the chibi and then pick between the two. I have all the time in the world right now so to speak :)
Id be happy for you to play around as much as you would like to. if you use the chibi and perhaps the tropical colours we looked at, for a striped Bg or something? I really dont mind, only do as much as you want to/enjoy. let me know how to send you a few sizes of the chibi to play with Ive got 5 sizes lol.

[edit] I ended up finding your chibi after looking for an artist to do some art for me. I came up with this. Let me know what you think and if there is anything you want changed. If you like it, I'll go ahead and code it for you :)
I love it! its fabulous!! how shes sitting on the line lol. so the boxes at the side Im hoping to have my HA, with some basic info like on the normal profiles, and links to smail, wishlist,perhaps pets,stickers,comment box, can that be done so people can comment but only I see them? its very neat and tidy not too cluttered, lovely. I am so sorry I have taken so long to code this. I have been so busy sorting out the finances for my education this year and haven't had the spare time to get around to coding it. But I have finally been able to do so today. You can have a look on my profile and let me know if there is anything that needs to be added or changed.
