I haven't found much info on how Subetan zombies function- do they need to eat, as opposed to wanting to eat? I think it's the latter, but I'm not sure. But zombie cuisine seems to consist of foods that, as far as the living are concerned, are quite revolting. For a new zombie, this would probably be a drastic change in taste and I'm quite curious about how it would happen. My idea is based around the fact that after being turned, a zombie's sense of taste and smell would become muted, making ordinary food feel tasteless and bland. So if a particularly unyielding zombie wanted to go on eating as he always had, he would have to overseason his food (making it inedible for the living). Zombies, being dead, would also probably be capable of ingesting all kinds of toxins which the living wouldn't be able to eat without dropping dead. Quite a few toxins also smell very nice; potassium cyanide from bitter almonds is an example. Poisonous fruits, vegetables, berries and chemicals can be used to make lots of special dishes for zombies. Does it sound OK?
Sounds like a good suggestion list for next Pandemic. :)
Sounds really interesting. I'd love to better understand how zombies tastes change (site-wise) since human flesh isn't the main staple item :p
I would love to know more about the dining of Subetan zombies as well as more food items for next Pandemic, support!

Yes! I mean, do they need to eat all? How do they sustain themselves? And why eat biological waste?
Yay! Thanks!
Moving to item suggestions :)
Examples: Vegetation: Yew berries, elder leaves and twigs, peach, plum, cherry and pear pits, wild almonds and cashews, untreated cassava, wormwood (absinthe?), sassafras, raw nutmeg, mistletoe, tutu berries, raw ackee, beach apples, black bryony berries, spindle fruit, holly berries, ivy berries, hemlock and nightshade. All of these supposedly taste OK, but can be very deadly.
As a Crackhead zombie, some moss/lichen food stuffs would be fun! Poisonous mushroom meals would be nice too.
And we should have our Graaaiiins! - say, rye bread with the ergot fungus or something?
Great ideas! :)
That's a great idea! All kinds of moldy breads, poisonous mushroom soups and salads, puffer and scorpion fish steaks, roasted poison dart frogs, nightshade berry souffle... :D
@ Minshasa Mmm, yummy!
We have some good on-site items to add too:
Imagine that risotto!
I really love the idea of adding poisonous and deadly things to the zombie menu. So many people hate things like brain food items and such that it would be nice for those users.
Yeah! Maybe we could have a Zombie Chef or someone? We bring him the ingredients he asks for, he cooks us a meal? Like a quest, except we get food instead of sp? Or just buy food from his shop? Or maybe I'm getting ahead of myself here...
I don't really have a problem with the zombie food. Brains, entrails etc. are all legitimately foods somewhere or the other. Poop and vomit on the other hand... Well, who knows how things taste to zombies.
Yeah, I agree and they don't bother me either.
I'm just so into this poisonous and deadly food idea.
I just realised that there's something very Addam's Family-esque about this idea. hums Addam's Family theme tune
It does seem a little Addams family like! This sounds like a conversation they would have at the dinner table.
Well, we have Elsie in Half-Baked for our bilious bread and creepy cakes, maybe she could collaborate with someone new for next year...
Possible Zombie baker/chef romance over the bubbling cauldron!
Or 'their eyes met over the Foxglove Fondue'.
(Now who's getting ahead of herself...) :)
Addams family? See my profile picture!
Yes! Granny and Morticia planning dinner!
I love that series so much! I have the entire show saved up. :D Gomez and Morticia are so wonderful together... Yeah, Skitters and Fantine had their turn, now let Elsie shine!
Plot sorted! :D
If we have a chef we can get some posh restaurant items going too:
Poison Oak Crepes with Bloodroot Puree Laburnum Liquor
Hemlock, Ivy and Amanita salad with Elder Vineger Grilled Stone Fish Lightly Seared Golden Frog Fine Cut Polar Bear Liver Stewed with Wolfsbane Baneberry and Desert Rose Tart
How's that for dinner? keels over dead
Inspired! That is some classy zombie dining. :)
I also like the idea that if we have a summer festival again, after dark, maybe one of the less-decayed zombies could have a pop-up snack tent for some food on the go.
Maybe like:
Datura Donuts
Thorn Apple Tacos
