Haven't got anything particularly useful to contribute but I am mentally cheering you both on, especially you . -silent, invisible applause- "Go, writers, go!" XD

I ended up throwing some more useless stuff at my word count for today but my characters are finally starting to talk to me again. I don't know that they will provide me with much towards my word count though. Most of what they are saying is short and to-the-point. Which would be great... Some other time. Right now, I'd rather them to be ranting and raving so I'll have more to add to my word count. Oh well. I'm gonna try to get what they are telling me written down then elaborate as much as possible.

- over by a few turned into over by 10 minutes, and I still only got 270 words in. Well, slowly chipping down this backlog. (well it's quest time, so let me know when you are back form dinner)

- My characters are ranting and raving at me all time, to the point that I block them out. Dunno if that's a good thing... or a bad thing! lol

I don't mind if you go over XD It's not a competition! if you're on a roll I think that's completely brilliant.

My characters fight with each other more than they do with me, but when I'm trying to write down what they are saying word-for-word it can be really annoying... When they get going, I usually just have to take a step back and observe, then type up as much as I can remember. I don't know if it's a good or bad thing in general to be able to block them out. I try sometimes with minimal success, but when I try my characters get upset and stop talking to me for a while. They get all "well, if you aren't going to listen to me, then I'm not going to bother trying to tell my story to you anymore" so I have to coax them back out by various means... Of course, there are other times when I am ready to listen and they just can't be bothered, like yesterday.

Sometimes it's a bad sign when they stop talking... I've had characters be silent for a while only to show back up with opinions on topics I'd rather not hear. Especially my antagonists. They like to antagonize me, oddly enough. LOL Anyway, hopefully you can get Val to tone it down at least. XD

I've gotten right at 250 words, which summarize the ideas I had... But I had to take an Aleve yesterday after pulling a muscle in my abdomen and now I am kinda groggy. I think I am going just lurk around for a while. If I can wake up and focus, I think I know where I can add more and I've already got some more ideas taking formation that I will be able to work on later today.

Funny how antagonists do that XD Prince Valon... he's... a huge bigot. Like I said earlier, every time I have to write dialogue I just go with whatever uses the most offensive words I can think of that fit my world. He's a huge racist, homophobic, misogynistic piece of slime. grumbles

- It's a good thing when I'm trying to focus on one group of characters and another character is yelling at me like you left me half dead back there! Get back to me already! And I'm like nope. :P

Well its looks like I wont be completing Nano this year. I swear November always ends up the worst time for this to happen. What with Holidays, my Birthday, and this year the prego roommate and moving >< there was just nothing that could be done about it. I'm not quite giving up yet. I'd like to see if I can at least make the half way mark. But good luck to everyone else participating. I might not have internet for a few days...moving and all.

Hi NaNos!! Happy Thanksgiving! So many of you are doing so well, keep it up. I fell a little behind this last week (it was to be expected, the week before Thanksgiving is always hectic. ) but I am confident of finishing before the 30th. Keep Going!!

Real life always comes first :) I know I intend to keep writing after NaNo - hopefully some of the awesome folks around here will join me for the ride. I have a long, long way to go before I have a fully realized novel in my hands so the words have to keep being written. Here's hoping you get some time to sit down and write despite all the busy things in your life :)

Yeah I definitely don't want to leave this sitting a whole year. I think my characters would get pretty up in arms about it. Especially the two MCs who are an item but are separated while this is going on... nobody likes to be away from the person they love.

You can totally do 5k or more today! Go go go go! And then work on your costume. :)

Well, some of my character were talking to me earlier but now they are just kinda arguing among themselves, trying to decide whose version of the story is correct. I know I've got enough ideas to make my minimum word count for the day, but I was hoping for more useful stuff than what I have gotten. Still about 6 hours before midnight here so maybe... It would be great if I could make or surpass the 45k mark today.
