I don't think I'll try CWs anytime soon, if ever at all ;; um I don't feel ready in the way of the amazing thing called art enough to do that But, well I'll shoot you questions (maybe soon, maybe never >.>) when I have them c: I'm more focused on regular 'ol art in general for now :P but thank you.

Urgh yes, losing the bagged skirt was probably my biggest regret. I loved those so much, and if I could redraw it right now, I totes would (and I'd also mprove the quality of some of those ugleh flowers lol)

I told me bf and he smiled! I'm glad you liked the shard dress! It was so finicky. The large version was so much better but the resized one crumbled a lot of details, made me so sad haha ;______;

Textures would be a good skill to broaden. I think you did an amazing job on the metallics of the Sun Set. :) And I would love to see a chibi char based off of those sets if you find the time for it of course. :)

Are you going to close comms off for recolors as well? I mean I don't have anything in mind right now, and I do already have so much to release as it is, so it'll be a while since I need any more recolors, but I think it would be interesting to see the Sun Set in maybe a rose gold color.

Wow! 1000 items is quite impressive! Looking at those first few items I can really see that you've come a long way! Your artwork is stunning! While I'm sad that you won't be doing more CWs for awhile I'm excited for you to be able to grow as an artist & try new things! It takes courage to try new things with your art.

Thanks ! I love painting skulls... I don't think I actually have to say that at this point. For the badger I did do a mirror for the sketch, but I went in knowing I was going to paint it and alter things to look different/more similar to the reference image. One way to stop yourself from doing that is to work with things at an angle, it forces you to draw it all. Something I need to do more of I am now following that blog ! Which I thought I was ages ago. o-o

I like doing details, even when I tell myself no. But then I try to do too much and have to slim it down. o-o I have to work through the tiredness, sadly, insomnia runs in the family. Do you work while playing music or have background noise ? I know it's a simple thing that most do, but it honestly helps me escape into the work. I'll finish something up and look at the clock like "wait when did that happen ?"

Thanks ! I do need to work on more contrast. I love doing the softer tones, it's just kinda how I do it, but I do need to work on upping it. The next painting planned is another portrait, and I want to have some more fun with it with colors so I'll try harder not to fall back into my soft tones.

I remember the attempts for that hair! I have that and still love it (but don't wear it often). Why were they denying it for the streaks for color? They were so finicky back in the beginning. I bet you could totally get that one (or at least a newer version) on site w/ the streaks.

Yeah, I have to listen to music or something or else I just get too tired. I've even put on movies, but I usually end up watching the movie too much and get too distracted. If I really want to put out what I need to, I have to listen to only music. I've tried white noise, brown noise really works best for me- but if I'm tired, that just puts me to sleep. lol. Having a toddler tho makes it so I get tired, like this morning, he was making noises and whining around 5:30am and up by 6 and I didn't go to bed until 12:30 (but I fell asleep at my comp about quarter to midnight, tho off and on nodding off since 11). I get some insomnia too, but usually it happens because I have low iron, which can happen easily for me. I get get anemic easily which makes me have insomnia cuz I can't fall asleep. SO yeah, I know how that goes! Soft tones are def easier. I still stick to them sometimes cuz it's just easier. I've thought of trying different shading styles or attempts, but I usually just end up doing what's comfortable. lol.

I reinstalled skype (I've had it before but didn't have anyone to chat to so it was just wasting space on my harddrive), so I can smail you my skype name if you want. xD;

Humans are thrown in the list of things to do although im still majorly stumped on most of the body parts they are composed of LOL (like, I tried to draw a hand last time and it almost looked as if it had a sixth finger? ew) Nope recolors arent closed! I'll make sure to announce that when I ping the next time, so people dont think that they need to ask for recolors -right at this moment-!

aw thank you very much dear! I'll still be drawing cws here and there, so I won't disappear completely though! I'm also really excited about finally taking the leap with a new art direction. I've wanted to for a long time but always came back to my cw comfort zone. No more!

urgh I know you're right but like... copy/paste mirror is SO easy yknow ;_________; I'll def look into angled objects though. Indeed it forces you to also better understand the morphology / perspective when you need to turn it around!

It really is. XD So long as you don't keep it perfectly even it's not too bad. Finding the angle I want to paint is hard sometimes though, so I end up saving 10 pictures and not liking any of them.

I have a feeling I wouldn't be able to listen to white/brown/etc noise, I think I'd get angry at it. o-o Oh gosh art + babies/kids is not easy at all. I try to do "art time" and end up watching their art ten times more because Autumn says "LOOK LOOK LOOK" after every small line she does; and then is done and gets angry if no one else is done after about ten lines. So, while I love their art, I can't sketch during our art time. XD But branching out and playing more is harder ! Which is why I need to do it but baaah; Isn't it enough I'm pushing myself already ? No ? Dernit.

Haha yeah, I was wondering whether I should just get some recolors now if they were closed, but if they're not that's good because I won't have to swamp you with all the recolors while you try to finish up the things you're working on. :P

Also, I never really draw human bodies and stuff (and when I do they're just bad in general, but hands and feet are probably the hardest thing to draw. And like generally is a pain. Especially since all hands are different (mine are somewhat small and funny looking as opposed to someone with long fingers and look what most would say is "nice").

I just looked at my hands now and it bothers me that my left hand my index finger is shorter than my ring finger, but on my right hand they're almost the same length... And I can't figure out which finger is the odd one out!!!!!

Yeah, he's young so he does want my attention and interaction, so it's hard for me to work no art when he's awake. He's a demanding little sprite. lol. I like white noise to sleep by, but I find it irritating to draw by. Brown noise is lower tone and not quite as irritating and it's supposed to be good at stimulating the creative part of your brain (apparently). There's also this site that one of my teachers told me about... not sure the name, but it was like just coffee shop noise- like background noise you'd hear if you were sitting inside a slightly busy coffee shop. That might be less irritating? lol.
