Honestly I started it as an event/challenge thing, but I don't see myself hosting many various things (HA contests, posting GIFs and quotes).

At this point im considering cancelling the 'event' and simply make the challenges a recurring thing, possibly once or twice per month (so it's like a free commission/design raffle, outside of the event context!')

YAY ! Contests/events are hard, even the more simple ones. The once/twice-a-month idea is awesome, though. I'm at awe by how you bust out so many amazing things so quickly ! I need to crack down and dedicate more time to drawing to better myself I always say this but then lazy and unmotivated

No ideas in this brain, unfortunately, haha. There are so many awesome ideas here, I'm jealousjealous XD Edit: oh yay, forum point!

4. I looooove the design of this dress (that's the store link for the ability to zoom in, the image is here). Especially the sparkles and the sheer mermaid-style bottom part. With the colors from the on-site item from above.

5. A pearl sitting on top of the folded dress? I have no idea for this part, tbh. I'd suggest a mermaid but that would probably be a lot of work for such a small image. Q-Q

So here is my Entry:

Item: I like that this item has aqua, blues, purples and even hints of pinks and this works really nicely with the item I'm suggesting. I like the "iridescence" and "opal-esque" look of these colors.

Description of item: Bubble-jelly skirt with the talons/stingers as part of the skirt. Kind of in the shape and length and height of the sheer octopus skirt. <only use this as a shape reference, but if that's not allowed, then don't use it, I just wanted to be descriptive enough, but any length/shape you go with will probably work anyway.

This shape, but it can be a little higher on the waist than in these pictures:

A ref of what it might look like with the stingers: I would like it if the skirt itself was in the same colors as the jellyfish and of course sheer and with iridescent/opal/rainbowy colors like that of the candy cut!

Magical Spiny Pauldrons

• - each starfish could be a different color of the aurora-looking themes on-site, or there could be an overall fade! • Magical Spiny Pauldrons - These should guard against all sorts of nasty beasts from the depths! • Armor - shoulder layer • Shoulder-plates made of starfish connected with a chain of pearls. Based off of how cool starfish look from the side! My sketch:

But wait wait wait! I also have ONE more winner this round! However this one will be kept secret until both items are done and ready to be released! n_n

Lastly, I wanted to make an announcement! I have decided to remove the 'event', in the sense that I do not have the time to take care of other smaller challenges (HA contests, post a GIF, scavenger hunts etc.!).

However, cw challenges will be recurring and take place once to twice a month recurrently!

Basically it's the same as it is now, except I'd rather not disappoint people with the term 'event' which suggests more implication than I can afford at the moment with my fulltime job + drawing x3

The same prizes / rules will apply (winning item available for 2 weeks + winner gets half the profit generated from sales!)

Yup yup I totally agree! Once a month CW comps are much easier than HA comps and other mini events and I love CW comps more because once I get inspiration I've got ideas out the wazzoo!

aw im glad everyone likes the challenges too! i've been more than surprised to see people's amazing ideas! So many I would've never thought about (or that I would've never tried to draw). Those challenges also give me the opportunity to tackle on different styles/ideas than my usual n_n

I'm working on setting up the new challenges (I was thinking of making one publicly announced + 1 secret winner each round), with a monthly raffle for those who participated, etc. I just need to sort it out and type it somewhere before I forget lol)

I like that. One public and one secret.

I know you don't really do commissions and such due to lack of time but what you could even do is like based on these ideas do maybe slightly discounted commissions, or open a few commission slots for ideas that were suggested throughout the events (if someone really wants to get their item done) but with the knowledge that it will take some time so it'll be a while before the item is done. Or even like based on the ideas that people suggest take on like 2 commissions of the suggested items only. Of course based on your time and availability. Or not, but I kinda want some of the items other people suggested, and some of the items I suggested. LOL.

I know after my suggestions I'm like.. gah now I wanna commission them. :P
