If it weren't for the bangs, I would be all over at least one color of the sidecut wig. It's SO stunning, and I like the bangs, but not exactly my style usually. Still amazing (gosh the malty and sweet colors are so pretty)

I'm too impatient to wait for the public recolors of the Hot Cocoa wigs to be approved so they'll be rollover'ed into this small mini-event! (it doesn't really change a thing aside from the fact that I can announce this super special event earlier!)

That's right! 1000 onsite items drawn, recolors excluded! (otherwise it goes to 2.5k+ i belieeeeve!)

If anyone wants to recount, feel free (lists part 01 & part 02). Honestly it might be 950, 1100, 1010 or somewhere in between. I counted every unique overlay + those who needed significant changes, as well as collabs many times but I'll admit I got lost sometimes. Recolors were not counted!

Super tiny recap The first item to ever be approved was the , which was accepted somewhere around... july 2012! It took me about... 5 denials and many hours of quiet sobbing ;p

The second item to be approved was the I had some huge help from who gave me pointers on how to shade (she tried really hard to show me how to make 'ribbon hair' shading and I failed completely lol)

The third item to be approved was the It marked the first wig of this particular shading style which I've sticked with over the years. I remember because back then, it was denied for 'shading single strands without taking the entire shape into account'. It took a lot of fiddling but I've always stayed close to this type of hair shading since then (& I don't regret it one bit)!

So Cathii, what does this mean? It means that in the next week or two, there will be a few surprises, including a new secret wig, two recolors of the kitty glasses (which were supposed to be part of the lumi event), a cw contest and a free commission giveaway!

It also means that after this, I will be taking a break of cws / become less present. I have spent years drawing cws and I think 1000 is a pretty good milestone. I would like to focus on non-cw art, broaden my style by learning anatomy and speedpainting better. I will still be drawing cws for friends and I'll still release things once in a while but it will be on the backburner a bit from now on!

It's been quite an adventure and I'm thankful that you have all supported my work throughout the years ❤️

PS 1. I know that I've been a very slow turtle at times. I procrastinate and I multitask and it is very possible that I forgot some people this lumi and forgot to reply to some thank you pings.

I'll try to go over those soon, but if I somehow still miss you, please know that I thank each and all of you for your kindness and love and laughs. You are all amazing!
