I like it like this, and IMO nothing should be changed about it

I just feel overwhelmed trying to collect enough of them all. I usually end up only being able to focus on a couple at a time(usually Quest Points and Wizard Tokens) while the rest I have to just let rot(fragging for crystals and recycle points) until I feel like giving up one of those two. So I guess I can say the forum points will be put on the back burner too(I almost forgot about them lol! sooo many!). As for the older currencies? Yeah, remove my points and I'll be very upset. Just because I have yet to use them doesn't mean I won't ever and that I didn't earn them so there is no need to just straight up suggest the site steal anything from me, please! Maybe move those ones to a different page, but don't just delete them on users.

I know I'm late to the party, but "I'm waiting on the 'do this to earn a special currency to buy another type of special currency to buy special items'. " isn't that how Lounge Trinkets work for Gourmands? ;P

Tbh I think the RD and EPICon points should be merged together and the users given access to all of the items across the years. It would definitely cut down on unneeded sections since the items aren't super exclusive in the way that Skitter's are and this option is already possible for Vesnali and Masquerade items. I'm also with merging Libertine and Steamworks Tokens, but I still think they should be on COMPLETELY separate pages as they are to reduce load times.

What point is there in New Year's Tokens? Why was this a thing that was needed?

I don't mind the amount of currencies at all, the way I see it, they're a way of rewarding people who are willing to put effort into some section of the site, e.g. you do your quests, you get to buy special items that are only available to buy with quest points; you spend the time fragging, you get to buy special items that are only available to buy with crystals. I love the event shops too, you can basically pick your own price based on your activity during the event, that's a pretty good deal.

So while they don't feel too many to me, I would appreciate if they were put in different categories. E.g. > current: Wizard Tokens, Crystals, Recycle Points, SBQ Invites, QuestPoints, Forum Tickets, Referral Points > seasonal: Steamworks/Lounge Trinkets, Vesnali Coins, Candy Hearts, New Years Tokens > retired: past events currencies (EpiCON, Reading Drive, RS wars)

I guess it is but I was aiming more for something like the quest points where you can sell the items but not the points. You can buy the trinkets anytime without having taken part in the masq.

So you'd be getting points that you have to earn by yourself to turn around and buy another type, at like 2x more, that you can't sell either, to finally buy the item. So in the end instead of needing like 50 of the special currency to buy the item it ends up costing 100.

Eh, I don't find them too hard to keep track of personally. I mean, sometimes I think that there are an awful lot, too, but for the most part they're jsut about participating in events. To get Vesnali items, you gotta pass out flowers. To get Pandemic items, you gotta get hearts. Masquerade items? Gotta dance! Not really a big deal to me. It would be nice if trinkets were combined.

I also don't find the quest points and quest shop confusing - just a way to encourage us to do quests. I do find the Subeautique invites annoying but I don't really see them as another currency too much.

I personally don't have any problems with the amount of currencies. I like that there's shops that require different types of currency and that you actually have to do things for some of them. A lot of people complain constantly about the rich getting everything they want. Doesn't this even out the playing field a lot?

A change to the page layout might help things a bit. I like the idea of separating everything into categories based on whether the currency is permanent, recurring event, or retired.

Sometimes it takes me a little while to spot the currency I'm looking for in the list, even though I've used the page a lot! Icons for currencies, along with their names, could make it easier to spot them at a glance. Most currencies already have their own images, so it shouldn't be hard to do. I'm sure relevant images could be found for those which don't have their own currency art. :)

Maybe it could be laid out in a similar manner to the Games page? Icon, name of currency, and the amount owned underneath.

I like the idea of a little icon to help you find what you're looking for. Great idea!

I think this is a great idea. It would fit the new style of a lot of the pages, and not be crammed in a teeny tiny chart. It would help new players understand what the currencies are for, how to get them, and where they can be spent.

Thanks guys! Happy to see people like the idea. I've always wanted icons to make currencies easier to pick out in the list. :)

Just realised Wizard Tokens would need a little alteration for this to work. The current currency page has separate links for cashing out and turning in tokens. It might be a bit cramped putting both links in a layout like this.

As I recall, the original Exchange page had links for cashing out and turning in. So maybe put the cash out option back on the Wizard Exchange page, and have one link to the Exchange on the currencies page?

if we could add like little 'hovers' like the ones for items over the currencies to give explanations of what they do, I think that'd be cool.

and retiring one-time currencies would be nice, too.

I actually really like that they're so organized, and letting me buy things with a currency other than SP makes me enjoy the site and look forward to events more. Like, I might not be able to afford things in shops, but if I do this event enough I CAN get a ton of points for the special stuff.

In a way I agree, that we are getting too many new currencies. On the other hand introduction of the "Other Currencies" page and link is a huge help in order to keep all in mind and keep an overview, also the ages old ones we're used to having (Tokens, Vesnali, Reading Drive,...).

lol, looking at said page, I discovered New Year Tokens - wasn't even aware, something like that existed...

I like the different ways to earn currency, always something to do around. Still I am not playing that long, only around 7 weeks, it would be useful to know which currency is retired or not achievable at the moment.
