Oh yea, it definitely will. And I haven't worked since like May and that was easy stuff, under the table sort of thing as a hookah waitress. Now that I'm working full shifts and constantly moving and dealing with people, it's different but nice. Finished my first full week yesterday and now have today and tomorrow off! -dances-

back is improving a little, things are a bit easier today. possibly because i'm too busy thinking about other stuff. my dad got admitted to hospital yesterday after he had a small heart attack the night before, so things are a bit scary just now

Yes, my check was for a little more than I expected so it made me happy. ^^ I'm already being offered extra hours all the time and being asked to stay later. And while it's nice to know they like me and that I'm doing my job right, it's just like mrh lol.

I'm like you. I don't get sick often but when I do, damn is it bad.

Yes keep in mind not to push yourself too hard. Especially if they start to not appreciate you. ((I have to remember that every day at work.))

Yeah and it's frustrating as hell cause you have to deal with all the crap you're not used to.

Oh, I can see that they appreciate me, which is a new and very foreign concept for me still. I lucked out though and there is a lot of integrity at the store I work at. And when people don't show up to actually work, they get fired because they're not an asset to the crew. It's great lol.

The worst cold I ever had left me with no voice for a week straight, and I was working at Wal-Mart at the time, and they made me continue to work the register and talk to customers. It was horrible.

Well that's great and I'm glad someone is getting the treatment they deserve where they work and the right people are in charge so they can get rid of the worthless ones.

Yea, it's a nice change of pace, especially compared to Wal-Mart where you get treated like horrid POS rats.

Colds are usually as bad as my sickness gets thankfully. I was had borderline pneumonia once and got a shot. Never got it again. And then now and again I'll get a quick on-set of the flu, just a 48-hr thing and then I'm good.

we're hoping so! or at least just some meds or something, but it's the weekend, and the hospital basically shuts down, so he wont get the proper tests he needs til monday which is just stupid! ><

Yeah that's pretty much where I am as far as being sick goes but I hate it even if it isn't as bad as what most people get so I'm always like "UGH I can't breathe or UGH I can't taste any food."

Yeah I totally agree on that, I understand it's the weekend and all but still, people have ailments no matter what the day is!

yeah, it's just silly. i mean, we get 'free' healthcare here...which is good sometimes, but the fact that if anything happens to you on the weekend nothing happens is just stupid. ><

No yeah that just doesn't compute to me, it's like vets that are closed on the weekend or on Sundays, you know bad things or sickness can come on for humans AND animals any day! headdesk

yeah, and frankly, it always seems to be a weekend! like i will always get an emergency ailment on friday just after the doctors shut. and the animals always get sick on a saturday afternoon after the vet is all done with it's saturday clinic hours. typical! XD

there's no money to be made working weekends and helping people. so why would you bother? >< grrr so annoying!

Yeah I mean what is the logic? Yes everyone deserves time off but lots of places can give different times off for people it just can't always be weekends.

yeah, i mean, most places are open weekends now, so surely they could just have the doctors doing shift work? like working thursday to monday or something so that the weekends are covered? we have a family friend who lost her baby because she was in labor in the middle of the night and there was no anasthaesiologt around to put her under for a c-section. i mean seriously! that is just ridiculous! luckily the hospital took full responsibility. but it's ridiculous that there wasn't one around in a maternity ward! or in the whole hospital!

There has to be something they can do because that is so wrong on every level. Full responsibility doesn't bring her child back!

i dont know the full story of what they did in the end, because the family is keeping it to themselves, but there was no need for it to happen in the first place, makes me furious!

I agree 100% I don't even know them and it's awful to even know that it happened.

Oh well it's not too bad but I have some stuff going on that pretty much eliminates me thinking about it so I'm not sure.
