@ mandrake I only realised they'd made a tv series recently. And I got so excited! Until I saw it. It's way better in my head :) if you want I could gift you a wig when its finished. As a present for the first SoT I've ever found :)

I agree with Nex about the hairline - something about it was putting me off, but I couldn't pinpoint it. I think the head definitely needs to be shaded more and maybe given a bit more depth, because I think they'd call it "sticker-effect" right now.

The bun section of the wig looks a bit lopsided, given who I'm guessing it's based on unless your reference picture of her is from that angle.

I'm on my phone now but I can show you how I would shade it later tonight:) I think essentially, the head looks kind of flat and the lines don't really contribute much to the shading? It's hard to explain. The braid part is gorgeous, though!

Umm... I wouldn't say it's as bad as a sticker effect >< that's generally used for items that have practically no dark line art.. it does look a bit flat though. I'll add some shine somewhere ^^ Also going to add a multiply layer.. working on it now ^^

Yeah, definitely need to add more shading! I know because it's blonde it seems like you don't want to add any darker colours but look at this item for example:

It has quite a lot of light brownish / tan parts in there but it still looks a very light blonde over all :)

I agree that the hairline could do with being further up too, but otherwise really good ^___^

Especially the braid part! Those are soooo hard to draw but you did a really good job of it :)

it looks perfect to me! The left one looks better hairline way.

For the 'head' portion of the hair, it seems like it has a bit of an egg shape to it, and if hair is pulled into a tight ponytail, you wouldn't seen an effect like that. This is a good example of what I mean. See how it conforms pretty close to the actual shape of her head? Also the shading looks like it's kind of grey/black. I'd use a warmer tone, like a medium brown, to keep the integrity of the blonde color.

For the braid portion, the long part looks like it has some kinks or something in it. The braid will lay relatively flat like this instead of having the kink over the knee. The portion that comes over the shoulder has a nice flow to it though.

As far as overall shading, I would darken the right portion of the head to make the top left light source more notable, and also darken the shading where the braid comes from behind the head so you get a sense of depth.

I like the overall idea of the wig and I hope my critique helps at least a little :) Good luck!
