sadly i don't really know yet. i still have one commission on the backburner, but i'm simply too worn out from work these days, my weekends aka only time off is spent sleeping + recuperating. i'll definitely ping my group once i open though. however i can't tell you when that is i'm afraid.

photoshop gave me one hell of a dry spell, but for some miraculous reason it's working rn and i want to try doing at least ONE commission right now! which is why i'm offering 50% off for whomever claims the open slot. please note i've changed my prices slightly since last. for most recent example, check out vicki's profile, i just finished dusting it off like a day ago. i do feel a LITTLE rusty, but it's been so long so of course i do. i'm sorta warmed up now though :) hit me up!

did your grandmother have a special type of wallpaper or something, a type of fabric or quilt, that was just... her? something you saw and immediately though "grandma"? i'm thinking that'd be something fit for a background, now that it's a sort of tribute pet. : )

Hmm the only type of wallpaper/fabric that reminds me of her is something like this. She used to have a plaid like that in the sofa for most part of my life :)

Not sure if the tartan will fit your idea :p

ok, so i kind of strayed from the tartan (as you sort of suspected, hehe) as it got a little too busy, but let me know what you think of it so far: here.

edit: did a thing, and now there's tartan in there. with or without? tartan version. the stains are, like, batter gone rogue from too much enthusiastic whisking. was just thinking of some of the messes i've managed when cooking/baking/etc.

Yeah that's the problem with tartan, it's only pretty in very small amounts :p I suspected it would be far too overwhelming.

I like the batter, but I prefer the background without the tartan :p

Hmm if I compare the one with the coloured block vs the batter one I think I think the coloured block one will fit better because I just realized that while I like the aesthetic of the batter, my gran was rather neurotic and couldn't stand stains at all.

no, that's okay! the batter is fairly recently added, and it's on its own layer, so won't be a problem :) block it is! i've added some dots to the background instead, so it's not so bare now that the tartan is gone. y/n?
