(OOC: While this is an individual choice for only one or two members of your team, the rest of the team may give input. Starbound and Sugarcandy Mountaineers are not involved in this choice, and the ping is so they will know what's happening only.)
The crowd is still cheering as "your Nancy" blows kisses and quickly runs off stage, where "her" dresser is waiting excitedly. Passing by the stagehands who are unaware of the substitution, you are almost at the dressing room door, when a pistol shot rings out and you burst through the door ready to defend yourselves, but instead encounter:

The dog is casually sitting on Lucy, who seems to be knocked out. Her derringer has fallen onto the floor, but Nancy's dressing mirror is only a pile of shards, and there's a bullet hole in the wall.
"Pardon me if I don't get up," the dog says mildly, inclining his head in your direction, "but I'm not sure how long she will remain immobile, and since, I was unable to prevent the shot, I do think we're pressed for time. I am Woofus Brackenberry, companion to Crown Princess Vertilline, and I was dispatched to bring you to safety. It seems Lucy was willing to betray you all in order to save her sister, and you were about to be held at gunpoint for the guards. Fortunately, she isn't a very good shot, so it only took one leap. Pity. I do like a good kerfuffle. There is a panel in the back storage area which leads to the alley, and then to a tunnel entrance I know. I'm very familiar with the paths from there, so I can bring you to the Pyrates, but we must leave quickly!"
He gives Lucy another sniff, seems satisfied she won't be stirring, and then vanishes behind a costume rack. "Come!" he calls back. "I'm opening the panel now."
Should you follow him? You have only a moment to decide, and just then, a very pale-faced Scuff sticks part of his face through the door.
"Come on, m-m-miss," he stammers, looking quite pained. "The guards are coming. We can get away out front if we go n-n-now." He gasps the last out with difficulty, as though he's somewhat breathless.
(OOC: So, what should you do? Follow Woofus or run with Scruff? You can split up. In fact, each of you must make your own individual choice right here on this thread. Simply post "Woofus" or "Scruff" below. The choice is yours, and you have only until 11:59 Subeta time on August 5th to make it.)
(OOC) that dog! He's super cute, but doesn't look too happy to be dressed up.(/OOC)
OOC: Once I decide on my choice, is it ok If I get the info for what I must do in a pm? I will only have time to work today on stuff, as I am leaving for camping Wednesday morning :]
ooc: just to make sure I understand....cosmic moon has left two people there, should they both make a decision individually (meaning they can split ways) or is it a decision for the two of them (meaning they both go the same way)?
Also does this need to be posted by the persons that stayed behind or by the teams captain/co captain?
:
Kitcher is following Woofus

Kitcher exhausted her tears, stepped away from Areiwyn, wiped her nose with the back of her paw and sniffed. She let Areiwyn lead her by the arm toward the dressing room. Suddenly, they heard a gunshot and a ruckus in the dressing room and they entered cautiously. They were greeted by Mr. Woofus Brackenberry who told of Lucy's betrayal, explained the existence of another tunnel and pressed them to leave with him immediately. Consequently, Scruffy entered the dressing room and proposed that the two leave the Goose with him out the front door.
It didn't take Kitcher long to decide what she was going to do. "Areiwyn, I don't ask you to follow me, but I figure if Donner went down into the tunnels, then I am going down the tunnels with Woofus. I would trust any creature over a human named Scruffy any day. I just never trusted him, I guess."
(Areiwyn is following Woofus)
When Areiwyn saw the dog and Lucy underneath and then heard of her betrayal, she gripped her gunblade tightly and struggled not to shoot Lucy there and then. No, it wouldn't be fair fight with Lucy currently comatose. A decision, however, needed to be made. For Areiwyn there were no doubts on the matter - for one, Donner had specifically asked her to look out for Kitcher, for another, she had severe doubts about Scruffy from the beginning and learning of Lucy's betrayal did not help matters. Areiwyn should have trusted her gut that something was up and now her team might be paying the consequences of her folly. "I will go with you Kitcher, I swore to Donner I would protect you and I would feel better following Woofus than Scruffy."

Sure
You can go separately. Each of you needs to post your own solution. This is just for you. :)
Thank you for answering my question so quickly ❤
witchy looks , "the went down the tunnel, Im not waiting any longer, I'm leaving now, I'm following WOOFUS!"
Ooc: I will be following Woofus, Scruff just screams all kinds of shady to me.

I choose Woofus. Who are you going with, ?
We have decided in our little RP below
Which way did we go?
As the devoted Nancy boys crowded the stage to throw flowers at the departing performer, Leaf slipped through the press of people and passed the stagehands to arrive backstage once again. He met a flushed Jenna, her eyes shining from the success of her performance. Taking her hand, the ranger was about to head back to the dressing room when they both heard a shot. Exchanging looks, and debating on the intelligence of going toward the shot or away from it, Jenna and Leaf reached an unspoken agreement and burst into the room.
The sight of the dog on top of Lucy was startling enough but then when the canine actually spoke, Jenna’s eyes widened. She couldn’t believe that Lucy had betrayed them. Or had she? It wasn't as though they could really question Lucy now. Looking from the dog to Lucy’s inert form to Leaf’s musing look, the bard said, “The others went in the tunnels. Should we trust Woofus?â€
Leaf had to admit he was a dog lover and inclined to believe Woofus. Giving a nod, he said, “Yes, I think we should. You go first and I’ll cover our back.†He nudged Jenna toward the rack of costumes where Woofus had now disappeared.
As Jenna started toward the hidden exit, Leaf whirled at the young voice behind them. Eyeing the little urchin, he said, “Scruff? What are you doing here? And what are you so nervous about?†When the boy bit his lip and only beckoned for them to follow him instead of answering, all the alarm bells in Leaf’s head went off. But there was something about the desperation on the young face. Was Scruff in trouble? Being held at gun point and forced to do the bidding of some henchman of DeWinter? If the boy was in trouble, Leaf couldn’t just turn his back on him. And speaking of turning his back, if they followed Woofus, and Scruff really was on the wrong side or being forced into this position, what was to stop him from alerting others and following Leaf and Jenna into the tunnels? If there was the possibility of a fight, the ranger far preferred it take place above ground and not in a cramped tunnel. Making a split second decision that he hoped he wouldn’t regret as he had some in the past, the elf called, “Jenna?â€
Pausing and looking at her companion, Jenna asked, “What? I thought we needed to hurry. Come on, Leaf.â€
“We do need to hurry,†Leaf agreed. “But in opposite directions. Take this, just in case.†He passed Jenna one of his twin knives. “I’m going with Scruff. Something’s not right with that boy and if I can help him, I will. I can’t leave a child in possible harm with DeWinter.â€
Jenna shook her head. “We need to stick together,†she argued.
“We need to help as many as we can,†Leaf countered. “It’s part of who I am, Jenna. Go on. And be careful.†Then, in another impulsive move, the elf pulled Jenna close and held her. “You were great, by the way,†he said quietly. “Take care and if I don’t see you again…†Leaf leaned closer and their lips met for a brief but tender kiss. Pulling back, Leaf released Jenna and gave her a nudge. “Now go.â€
Just to clarify Leaf is taking the plunge and going with Scruff. I hope he doesn't regret it, especially after he finally kissed Jenna. Jenna is probably thinking one or two things...'Wow! He kissed me', and then, 'Really? He dumped me for some street urchin??' LOL
I'm going with Woofus. How about you Nancy, erm.. ?
I'm going with Woofus.

watches as follows Woofus out behind the racks of clothing Well, I like a good Scuffle too. So think I will go with Woofus too. I sense this is a trap, but heck between a warrior and magic user what can go wrong. Hope the guys in the tunnel didn't need us. runs after Witchy and Woofus
(So we are sticking together with Woofus)
