I never went to my prom. I was scheduled to work, and that's what I did. For me, it was just another night, same as always. I don't like crowds, I don't dance, and I had no desire to ask anyone, so it didn't bother me to work instead.
I did meet up with my buddies afterward, though, after they were completely shitfaced, and we partied. :D
Prom isnt here yet for me, but Im NOT paying $65 (and no Couples discount!) to sit in a golf course club house eating pasta with people Ive never met.
I also refuse to go to this Senior All Night Party. Im not coughing up another $100 for that so they can blow it on more new ketchup machines.
I will stay home and eat Hostess in front of my TV. Hostess are way better than dancing in heels while sweating all your makeup off.
aw I went stag with my friends x3 had wayyy more fun than I would have had with a date.
My friends that went were just in groups with people so it wasnt just them. They say it makes it funner. =/ I wouldnt know though, Im only a sophmore so its alright that I didnt go.
I wish I'd gone to my senior prom (it was the weekend before my birthday this year :( ) but, My boyfriend didn't want to go, my friends were going with other groups and I didn't want to go by myself so I just decided not to go. Kinda upset I didn't though.

I skipped my senior prom to spend a very nice and relaxing afternoon/evening at the beach with my bestie. No hot and sweaty guys bumping and griding on me, no drama from the girlfriends of the hot and sweaty guys, no wasting 250+ dollars on one lousy night.. None of that nonsense. Just nice, inexpensive and relaxing fun with the bff. It was an afternoon/night very well spent.
I'm going to prom this year with my boyfriend (he's a senior, I'm a junior). I actually got my dress at Dillards (and I live in Canada, so no one around here has that dress) and I only paid $70, and I actually think mine looks better than some of my friends over-the-top-poof-gowns that they spent $350+.
You guys have your proms early, ours isn't until June 17th. :o I must say though, I'm pretty excited... my best friends are all seniors so it's not going to be all that awkward.
And apparently we're getting a limo? To be honest, I don't see the point in hiring a limo... but if they all want to... I don't see why not. :/
Mine hasn't happened yet. Two weeks! I have an AMAZING dress. I don't really care for dances, but I do care for dresses. So I'm going mostly for the excuse to get this dress I'd been eying since the summer but had no reason to buy.
my prom is in 2 weeks, actually. my boyfriend of 2 years and i are going in garage-sale outfits- a full baby blue lace 1950's gown, with a huge taffeta skirt, and a powder blue tuxedo made of crushed velevet with a frilly shirt underneath, ahahah! also, we are making out corsages out of broccoli and cauliflower!
we are going as a totaly joke, and besides the tickets, we spent like $10. it;s not worth it to get all crazy about prom! it's just one lil night of bad music and pantomime buttsex. srsly no big deal. if you go, do a service to yourself and make a joke out of it!
hehehe, Yah, I guess my prom is pretty early, but we get out of school on the 29th and next week....two weeks is morp so I think they picked a pretty good time to have prom. =)
Well I'm in my junior year right now, and prom is next weekend for us..I was supposed to go with someone, but something came up at his church and he couldn't..then my friend, who also likes me, ask me to go, but I didn't want to give him the wrong idea so I said no..and now I'm not going. .__.

Awww. Ive got this friend and she is absolutely GORGEOUS, and its her senior year! She was going to go to prom and she bought this gorgeous dress, 100+ $ and then two days before the prom he canceled on her because she refused to be his girl friend. Made me mad, he is such a jerk.
I don't get a prom yet. :p I almost went to the one this year, but apparently I was supposed to read his mind and figure out that if I protested him asking out another girl I could go with him....Yeah.
But in two years I might go with my friends. That, or we'll go to the mall for eight hours or something equally as loser-ish. XD
Lol. The mall is great =P I did that with my friends a couple weeks ago. Totally tried stuff on and took pics of it, then got kicked out of the shop cause we were ignoring them when they said we couldnt take pictures in the shop.
I went stag with a couple of my best girlfriends. Best dance ever. :P
Actually, I never got asked to dances, so I have nothing to compare it with. LOL But still - being home on a dance night doesn't condemn you.
=O Hopefully it doesnt! =P hehehe, I cant wait for next year though, Im sure I'll get asked =)
Junior prom - I got diarrhea from supper. Senior prom - My ex dumped punch all over my dress.
Fun times. </sarcasm>
