I agree! Plus its better to go out with your friends without your gym teacher as a chaperon *shudders..(Or with your parents grilling you and worried about you carrying out the age old tradition of sex on prom night)

my school's sophomore 'prom' was just a graduation, and teacher's were supervising so we didn't have dates. actually, correction.

we weren't allowed dates. it was one of the "rules". stupid right?

grad was probably one of the worst nights of my life. firstly, my friends and i were all late due to traffic. and not fashionably late, LATE late.

secondly, my dress was see through. all my undergarments could be seen in the pictures. it was horrible. i spent more than half the night crying.

AND THEN. at the after party i didn't get wasted. because i was feeling sick and my partner didn't want me to be sick. i guess it was really sweet, but i really wanted to get wasted. :(

The high school prom was 2 weeks ago. For some reason we got a half day, which was super cool. ❤

I'm only in the middle school, so we didn't have a prom. :o

Our regular dancing functions are terrible, I hate to see what my school will do for prom...

But I've a few more years until I'd go. I'll probably get a nice dress and spike the punch or something silly.

Our school doesn't have prom until the end of May, and I'm only a freshman xD

my prom's on friday. i'm super excited; me and a bunch of friends are going in a vintage bus, and i bought a nice suit with a waistcoat and everything. i'm going on a 'date' with one of my best friends, chez. her dress is beautiful by the way - she got it made. but yeah, i don't have a real date, but i'm going because most of my friends will be there. it'll be fun. plus, i'm excited about the afterparty!

sorry that you're bored, but just because you don't have a date, doesn't mean you can't enjoy prom - you can have fun with your friends.

My school doesn't have prom because it's too poor, too small, too Catholic. So I'm going out with friends and partying instead.

Ah. I wish there was a prom here. I would probably go with friends anyways, but I would like to be in one. Even without a date. ;c

Nah, I didn't go to the prom my school held. Really not my thing. My friends were a bit pissed off, haha, but fuck 'em. I can't stand dancing or dressing up and all that shit, why would I put myself through that and have to PAY?

It got pretty annoying after the 30th time I heard: "OMG U SHOULD GO. It'll be the best night of your life!"

Shit...I don't regret going at all...would've been one of the worst nights of my life.

My senior prom isn't until June 6th. My group decided to be wise, save money, and not go to the beach after. We're going back to a friend's house who has a pool.

oh come on, prom isn't THAT bad, haha. i went to my senior prom last year with a big group of friends. sure, it's loud and people can be obnoxious, but if you let yourself have fun with your friends, it's a good time. i brought a friend as a date, someone i'm comfortable around, and we had a great time. you don't have to have an expensive dress or have a 'popular' date to have fun. if you think about it like that, you'll be miserable. it's an experience, if nothing else. (;

the required boat ride after prom, on the other hand .. obnoxious. haha.

I went to my senior prom without a date and all my friends had dates. I was pretty depressed all night. Looking back at it, I wish I hadn't gone. After prom party was fun though

I don't like dress-shopping. Trying out 61524 clothes is a pain. A HUGE pain. :(

I went to my prom (about... 2 years ago?) and I had fun! The music was terrible and everyone danced... very badly/inappropriately. But I went with a group of friends, and we had a mini-glowstick rave in the corner and played soccer in our dresses with a plastic cup. XDDD Prom night itself isn't really good or bad, it's what you make of it. =D

I went to my prom last year. O.o Had a boyfriend and everything, we went together and all that. I had a long dress, though, and he stepped on the back of it not once, twice, or three times. But FOUR times. Four! He ripped the ruffles out of it!

We were having problems in our relationship by the time prom came around, so it was a huge strain on me, really. I had fun, but it was a hard night...

I have yet to even get out of middle school so no prom for me for a while. xD I do have this eight grade dance thing. Everybody's so excited for it and I have my dress and shoes and whatnot but all of our guys are super fugly so i hope nobody asks me. And everyone is being immature all "she asked him, he asked her, said yes, said no" gossip and crap. it's sort of like, who cares? Shouldn't you people be more concerned about getting your own dates?

Ehh... My prom night wasn't so hot. If you ask me, it was seriously the most boring and embarrassing night ever :)

Eh, If you really want to go, I doubt most of the school has closed off their prom =)
