You know, I can't even tell how long the person I'm waiting for has been off. Last time I looked it said 8months... Now their profile is blank... Hrm...

I have quite a few months to go, assuming that user doesn't come back, so I don't think I'll need to prepare for a bit. But when that time comes, I'll probably forget about it. :|

I have $20 ready for the day they release the name my daughter has been waiting for. I only hope she is online to use the ISS. :)

I've decided I need a friend who is constantly online (not that I'm not, but you know) for the day names get cleared in case I'm not around when they are.

One of the names I want got cleared with the last pet name clearing. It was then made by an account that hasn't been active since. :(

I feel your pain. D: I've had that happen at least twice before, where the user waited until the account was inactive for 9 or 10 months and then suddenly returned. I'm really hoping it doesn't happen again, though the names I want now are on frozen accounts, at least.

Though... frozen users can log back in with this new system, which really sucks. :/ I hope it doesn't affect when their accounts will clear. If a user has been frozen for over a year, they shouldn't be able to preserve their account by just logging in.

The username I wanted was in use by a user that was inactive for I believe 8 months? Then one day they signed back in, played for a few days it seems, and haven't been on since...

And that means the wait begins all over again. I was so close. :(

They could be using a proxy, so their 'real' account doesn't get frozen, but they can still prevent people from getting the names they want D:

I know exactly how you feel! I'm already thinking about changing my username but there's a user with that name already and they haven't logged in for some time. So I'm gonna wait to see if they remain inactive. If they do stay off Subeta then there's a good chance I'll snag their name. It's a rather beautiful one :)

I know how you feel! I really wanted the username harlequin but it was sadly taken, harlequin is like my favorite color of all time.

But it worked out in the end because I really like my username now, Inquisitive.

There was a user with a name i wanted (pet name), but they logged on after about 9 months of inactivity. :/ and promptly went back to being inactive.
