There's a pet name that I so dearly want; the trouble is, someone already has it. Normal, right?

Well, this someone is an inactive account. And while this inactivity has lasted the better part of a year, there's still three months left.

Is it terrible to hope a user doesn't come back so you can snag their pet name? D=

lmao, I think we've all been there! I have quite a long list of pet names on inactive accounts I'm stalking, along with two usernames. P: Waiting those extra four months is torture. Part (what am i talking about, all) of me wishes that they could shorten the time to nine or ten months, because I really doubt a user who has been gone for that long will be coming back, you know?

I know what you mean, nine. >; But I'll admit that I was one of those players that quit for a long time before coming back; probably just before the year was over. xD So I (sort of) understand that long of a time period.

I'm hoping the user with my name won't come back ^_^; They're obviously not active, although they logged in in February because they have a couple Epidemic achievements... but not since. I get the feeling they'll be logging in every few months for a few minutes, without actually ever really doing anything ; ;

Yeah, but I just can't help but think... what's two months? ;_; sob (on that line of thought, what's two months to wait for the name to be cleared, right. I guess I'm just worried, with my luck, these people will sign on right before the names get cleared and then continue to be inactive for another 11 months. FML.)

I know exactly what you're talking about. I feel guilty for wanting them to stay away (because Subeta is awesome), but at the same time, if they're not going to play on a site where they have awesomely named pets, then fuck them.

Unfortunately, this person is one of those let's-be-active-for-a-day-leave-for-a-few-months-and-repeat users. It's annoying. :|

T-T I know the feeling, there was a pet's name I wanted so amazingly badddd~ It made me cry a bit inside when I saw it was taken.

What's worse is, the name I wanted was taken by a newbie who has never posted and signed up three months, three weeks, and three days ago, yet has not logged on since three months, three weeks, two days, and several hours ago. =|

imho I think there are a few users that hoard pet names/account names. /: at least that's what I've heard and like to believe considering all of the good names on both spectrums that are inactive from the day they were created.

ikr? Two of the user names I really, really want are taken by users who haven't signed in since the creation date. a few of the pet names I want belong to users with multiple other pets w/ real names/real word names... who haven't signed in since the creation date.

I wish there was a way to tell if a user was making multiple accounts like that. you'd think you'd be able to tell by the IP address. /: even so if they got frozen you'd still have to wait a year until the names were cleared.

I! ... am also one of those players who came back after (nearly) a year gone. Luckily no one shares my name taste so no hearts were broken. d:

Wouldn't surprise me one bit. After trying to make a new name for one of my pets, about 80% of them belonged to inactive accounts that were, strangely, nine months or more inactive.

The others belonged to active users, and I'm happy for them. BD

...LOL. I know your pain... in fact... I should really start saving for a hypnosis wand in case I can get the name I want... sigh
