Once again, I didn't actually do that finger paint in the first post :P I stole it from google. xD I'm totally going to go buy paints and stuff and do them though!

I don't have a problem with people selling actual plushies... I would assume those aren't a 2 minutes process like bracelets. IF SOMEONE WERE TO MAKE ME A RUFFIE PLUSHIE I WOULD PAY THEM LOTS OF REAL LIFE MONIES!

If I could do dog plushies/ any kind of animal (mine are mostly flat scrap-plushies made of flannel. Kind of like ugly dolls if you've heard of them). I couldn't sell you one, though. D8 If I ever figure out how to make one, I'd just send it to you for free :3 . Someone else makes nice plushies, but I think that they weren't allowed to make Subeta pets or items because of profiting over something that was copyrighted. o.o

But yeah, I get what you mean about some of the stuff that's being sold. I saw the clay dolls or whatever and they weren't my thing, but they might be to someone who's into Tim Burton's work. XD Nightmare Before Christmas and whatnot.

:O You stole art? Shameeeee on you. XD No, jk. But yeah, I read that you didn't make the fingerpainting in the first post after I posted my post. -too lazy to go change posts- XD

I had no idea what you were talking about, so I went to the Art market and looked around.

The first topic I found that was talked about here was one of the origami star necklace ones.

I sat there and laughed for like 5 minuets. I swear, when I was like 7, my older sister and I made thousands of those.

I really think you should make finger paint art. I'd buy it C:

I approve of selling things for USD when it comes to absolutely unique items (the keychains) that you cannot get anywhere else. Even when it comes to digital art and paying USD for it, at least you're paying for the artist's drawing style and a piece of art custom made JUST for your use. It's like buying high-quality art from an artist at a studio, save for the piece in question is digitally produced and the buying goes on at an anonymous level instead of personally handing someone cash.

I have to agree here...I have one of those bracelets that my friend made for me out of string back in May and everyone at my school has been making them. They're not anything genuinely out of the ordinary because SO MANY PEOPLE have them now and it's easy to learn how to make them. That's why there's a Michaels store. If I'm paying USD for something on Subeta, I want to make sure it and/or its materials cannot be purchased at a craft store and that I cannot learn how to make it in an hour or so.

I think it&;s kind of nice that non-digital artwork is becoming more prominent on Subeta. Yay for variety and whatnot. It&;s just a pity that (from what I&;ve seen) the quality of the available products isn&;t particularly impressive. :x

I totally agree. I saw that "non-digital artwork" was for sale for the first time yesterday and I think it's a neat idea but the bracelets and such are something that I'm not interested in :P

It's funny, though, because I actually thought the paper star things were really original. XD IDK why, maybe it was because I hadn't ever SEEN anything like that before (It was before I even knew you could DO that with paper. XD). I guess I can see why people think it's not difficult to do, though, because the stars themselves are not hard to make.

No joke, all three times I've been on this thread, the banners on top have been for bracelets XD

Actually, I think it's kinda genius to sell pre-K crafts for $5 on this site, because some people actually buy them! Talk about easy profits XD

Around me, they actually sell a kit at book stores like Borders with an instruction book and like 5000 little strips of paper to make them. That was the reason I thought they shouldn't be sold when I first saw them. Ahahaha.

i think the problem is that there ARE people that can make great quality irl products, but they arent willing to sell it for digital money (which is a required option).

i know if i made really great quality something or others and i paid for quality materials with my own money + drove to the store to buy them + put hard work into it making it + shipping it, i would want actual money in return. that would be some serious deprofitization (not a word).

XD OMFG really? I need to go to Borders, then! XDD I'm trying to fill a pickle jar with those things just because I like them. My printer fails with printing nice pictures, though. :|

But I'll do that AFTER I buy some fabric 'n' zippers 'n' emboridery thread to make some stuff to sell hur on Subeta. XD Just the stuff that's already made, and I might charge more for customs just because I'd have to go out of my way to make something different. XD

I hate that some people are trying to turn Subeta into a RL marketplace where they sell their RL stuff.

Not only does it cause some concern as far as safety (because in order to buy a RL bracelet one must give their address... something children have been told time and tome again NOT to do online) but also because there are other places that they can go and do that. Not for SP of course but most of the threads I have seen were clearly set up to encourage people to spend $$ and not SP, because they say things like:

USD GETS PRIORITY.
USD orders will be worked on before SP orders.

I know what you mean. I was thinking of getting an Etsy shop or something and linking to it, but taking customs if people wanted them. I don't think I'd make a thread here in the art market, but I might ADVERTISE here in a sig or something.

they sell them at pretty much any asian place you can find. and probably a lot cheaper than borders. they even sell AZN-fied bottles to put them in.

and wtf @ selling those, btw. thats essentially selling origami.

I've never really understood point of the 'USD gets priority' thing. I even saw a shop where there was no sP slots. Isn't it little odd that you sell your stuff on SUBETA, but you don't accept SUBETA CURRENCY?

Yeah, the address giving out thing is kinda dodgy. I bet that will eventually lead to the banning of selling real life items.

will accept USD and SP.

i&;ll put up an example soon but basically i dip my penis in paint and slap it onto some paper. i mail said paper to you and you pay me.

i can do requests or ill just do the blind dickslap.

pick your poison.

Now it's something a shit load of ppl will pay for. So why discourage different art forms lol. I mean what's the difference between a bracelet or a painted picture of a dick?

I don't think non-subeta based art/crafts/whatever should be sold on subeta. I feel like these types of things are abusing the intended purpose of the art market.

Want to sell your crafty bracelets? Great. Go do it on Etsy.

Unless you're making origami ruffie bracelets or doing macaroni portraits of peoples HAs, you need to take your Hobby Lobby craftworks and gtfo.

I like some of the things, like the chokers! Those are amazing!

But some things..just... I just need to go to Michael's and get some stuff to make alot of stuff...

But...people are spending rl money on pixels, why not the other way around (other than the address thing). I'm not that good at drawing, if I can find something to make (that's actually good), why not sell it?

And seeing some of the stuff people make, it reminds me of my making stuff out of pipecleaners. It's fun but easy and inexpensive. If anything, I now want to try something subeta related. or a companion cube..
