: Unfortunately that does not work for me. Those shops (especially the ones that already have 7 and 14 and 23498734 pages of items) take a while to load because of said sparkly gifs and such. If I click the stop button too fast, it stops before I've bought the item.

Besides, I shouldn't have to train myself to click the stop button at the magical second between shop purchase and page load. There should just be an option to disable shop layouts so I don't have to deal with the lagtastic fug anymore.

I don't wait for those to load up. Once it shows that it loads the page and that it's starting to load the shop, i click away. I spent my money, got my item and I'm out.

Like I said I can't stand all the seizure inducing nonsense either, but at the same time I enjoy the fact that this site allows us all the freedom in certain aspects to be able to do things like that.

I would really hate it if they took all of our freedom with that stuff away, and simply made us have default shops/galleries/profiles, as other sites do.

Edit: I don't mind people having the freedom to do it as long as they give me the freedom to undo it. Give me the ability to block it and I couldn't care less wtf you do with your shop front.

But I think it's unfair that I have to live with my internet crashing and/or freezing up with twenty minutes of lag every other wizard quest just because of peoples shop layouts.

I can agree with that, an option to remove peoples sparkly, seizure inducing, rainbow vomit would be lovely.

Frankly I HATE shop layouts. All of them. I don't think HTML should even really be allowed. Bleh, I guess the occasional graphic is okay but when I'm shopping around I like the minimalists best.

The solution in my mind is to track down some popular Subeta fansites, go to their layout pages, open all the images involved and ADBLOCK ADBLOCK ADBLOCK.

I can handle most layouts but the ones I can NOT stand are the flashing ones - they are almost seizure inducing !!!

and it hurts their business too cause usually when I'm in a shop I look around and buy other items but those shops I ad block and exit as quickly as I can.

I saw someone selling hope in their shop but their bad choice of sparkly Edward Cullen inspired graphics made my Firefox crash :(

I think mine are alright...But I wouldn't know because it works on my own fine. I have no sparkling graphics or insane crap like that. I prefer to keep mine simple and clean usually.

I have tried this- DIDN'T WORK. I had to actually wait for the shop to load in order to have it put in my inventory.

I hate shop layouts. They cause me to lose out on wiz tokens because of loading times. It's not like blocking the person helps either and I don't have time to memorize all the people who have a shop layout so I can ignore them when I purchase the buy button- I'm on a tight clock with the wiz when it comes to purchasing items in user shops. I don't like getting 10 tokens instead of the 15 because someone has some stupid layout.

Put layouts in a gallery, where it won't bother anyone needlessly. Just seems ridiculous to have them in user shops- the majority of us don't care what your store looks like. Really.

It's not just the sparkling crap. ANY shop layout slows down my computer. I hate seeing one, period. I don't care if God himself did it for you, I would still resent you for wasting my quest time.

I avoid shops with graphics. ANY graphics. Even banners. My lite speed internet just can't handle the load. :P

But I hate people who post their shop links in the advertising forum and expect me to go through every item to see it I want it. I've become so incredibly dependent n that blue square. It's my own fault for being lazy, but hell. It bugs me.

I couldn't agree more. I don't know why people bother to load up their shops like that when they know it's a deterrent. It's not like this is a new complaint.

Somebody needs to introduce these storefront bling addicts to the galleries. I don't really care how long galleries take to load because nothing in there is time sensitive.

I click the buy button and back click before the page even bothers to load. I understand how you feel though because no matter how fast I click, my computer always seems to slow down. Seriously, that's why I don't bother with quest. The most I do is Quentin, and I see if I can restock it from the Graveyard shop. If I try a quest, like the Wizard quest, I usually have to restart my computer when I'm finished.

After all that, I still don't understand why. Exactly like you said, you're almost never going to see your own shop page. And so I agree with everything you're saying. Would it be possible for Keith or someone to make it impossible to edit your shop? Or have a little pop-up when you click on the shop, or the buy button, that warns you of any type of image or format and asks if you still want to continue.

I am so much in agreement with the OP! I HATEEEEE those stupid shop layouts. I have high-speed internet and use the recommended internetzz for Subeta, Mozilla Firefox, the latest version. However, with the way the site behaves what with slowing down suddenly and without warning 93498 times a day, and add in horribly graphified shops while trying to do quests, that is a mix from hell.

Guaranteed to kill my internet.

I don't care what your shop looks like, I just want to buy your crap. The shops here aren't like real shops where you stand around and browse. You hit the buy button and get the hell out of there. End of fucking story. Don't complicate the process.

You can put all the rainbow vomit you want in your lookup, pet lookups and galleries. Have at it.

Ugh, that green/grey shop layout crashes any browser anytime and I haaaaaate that.

If blocking people blocked shops I'd block everyone with that layout.
