This complaint is not lame at all, at least in my opinion.

Quotes as forumtext piss me off because they just look stupid when used like that. :/

The statement you just posted is one that you only JUST communicated FOR THE FIRST TIME. When you quote something, you&;re repeating something that&;s already been said before. BUT YOU ONLY JUST SAID IT. HOW DO YOU REPEAT WHAT HASN&;T EVEN LIKE.. LIKE.. WHAT THE FUCK. IT JUST DOESN&;T MAKE SENSE.

WHAT, ARE YOU PSYCHIC? PRE-EMPTIVE QUOTING? WHAT IS THIS SHIT?

AND IS EVERY POST YOU MAKE TRULY WORTHY OF BEING QUOTED, ANYWAY?
(I fucking doubt it. :x)

Hahaha. I love you. XDDD

So.

The one line quote doesn't bother me, but I'm not exactly jumping for joy every time I see it.

The talking in a quotebox thing bugs me, though. :/

I'm quitting Subeta. :) Help me annihilate 's wishlist by buying my stuff?

I&;m sorry, but what compels people to quote themselves?? Do you really find yourself that clever and hilarious that you want the whole world (or in this case Subeta) to see it? Lol. If you didn&;t like something you said, then you wouldn&;t say it. A person doesn&;t post something and then think, "Wow, that was so dumb. Why would I even say that?" Even if you do want to show-off something you said, why do you need to put it in a quote box? XD I think we&;ll all assume that something written in your signature, if not otherwise credited, was said by you.

Hm, that's a good question. I really have no idea what the exact reason is. I didn't put it there to make myself seem clever (duh xD) and I also don't have it there to exactly "show off". I guess I pretty much just put it there because it puts a smile to my face, and others in particular. I realize that a lot of people will not laugh at the quote that I have, since nobody has the same sense of humor as another, but I have had some people comment me saying that they liked my quote, so at least I'm not the only one. xD

Yes. Oooh lordy yes. ;^; What bothers me the most is that I'm actually stupid enough to read almost every single one with a tiiiiny flame of hope that it's like... oh, I don't know, intelligent or witty. :c I think those days of Subeta have died... It's just really annoying. And as Mythica said, SPEAKING in them grind my gears worse than just the quote box being there. ;^; It makes me wanna shove a cat down their throat. Come on people--cut it out. THINKOFTHEKITTIESK?

Well, I don't have a problem with yours. o_o; I mean... it's obviously an inside joke that, whenever your friends see it, will laugh about it. xD;

My only issue is when people's actual post content is always in the quotebox. x_X

I just don't understand why you would credit yourself. If you said it just put what you would said.

The other day I saw someone with a quote box and three quotes of... something from various people in their forumset. Why? WHY? I was so confused looking at that, wondering if it had been part of the situation, had I missed something. It was just really stupid quotes that were there and not part of the topic at hand. UGH!

Every time I see that, I'm just going to block that person. What a stupid thing to do.

I honestly do think it's lame, sorry. No offense, but to me it says 'someone said something funny about me, I'm just that cool.' Of course, quoting yourself is even worse. The only excuse would be multiple personalities disorder or whatever, and even that doesn't cut it..

It's sort of like taking a picture of yourself having a good hair day, not wanting it to go to waste. Only lamer o.O

I never read them, anyway.

Reminds me of when people say something, and then they repeat what they just said, like 'omg lol I was all like ___' and usually it's because nobody laughs/responds. XD fail.

I always read them, hoping that something will be relevant, and my eye is often drawn to quote boxes.

Quoting compliments, things you've said, or things someone has said about you is hella lame.
