The nest steps are to make a wire fence to keep it out of the pup's little digging paws. And this desert makes keeping the pile moist a priority.

I suspect that a pattern is necessary, something like an engine can't be assembled without instructions, regardless of experience. Zo socks with patterns would need a set way as well.
