So, a few years ago (5?) we had a house guest for 6 weeks, the son of my husband's cousin's ex-boyfriend, who got a college grant, and since all classes were online because of corona still (did that really happen??? Feels like an alternate world event), was traveling around the world while doing his courses online. Very nice fellow. He went back to California and our connection was infrequent. I invited him to the last wedding, not even sure that was still his phone number. He resumed our communication yesterday and asked if all were married now (8/10, but the 2 are on the Autism Spectrum and it's harder) and if any babies born since M.... LOL I wrote back: only 16. :-D)))

And it looks like a better prospect is on the horizon, one of mine isntructors has announced that Service Consultant shops are all open for students to bring anything needing work. It means that if mine can limp mine car to the campus, the job in mind can be done under favorable settings and can count towards mine overall grade.
