I understand people's frustrations about getting the 'low cost' WL items, but saying that they're literally on your WL?

To me, it's like receiving an anonymous gift through the gift center with a bunch of those on it? Would you be disappointed to receive that?

That's quite telling to me, I often send 5 or so 'cheap' hoard items through the gift center to random people. Maybe I should stop?

I put in 5 1m+ WL items yesterday in MM, and I received 7 items back. 5 were WL items that cost 150k each. I was actually exceptionally happy?

Not everyone wants to spend millions everyday, so I appreciate the getting 100k WL items instead of 25k shop junk nobody wants but the Wizard

I neglected MM for a couple of days, because I was too busy with other stuff here and definitely wanted to wait until the system had been smoothed out. Sounds as if other troubles have popped up - surprise! rofl I'm not sure I like the wishlist peek. I can see myself spending hours looking at fellow MMs WLs and trying to follow line. It might be helpful at times, though and give suggestions. On the whole I'd rather choose my own stuff - and Melody look at our WLs.

Edit: I've just enterd MM. And a group has been formed. None of us 4 users has contributed anything yet. However Melody has already put in her 8 items, which are 3 Plushies and 5 Stickers. I definitely have no Plushies or Stickers on my wishlists... :-( I know, this is about giving and not receiveing, but knowing beforehand, that at least Melody will hold nothing exciting for me, is downright disappointing 20 hours before the thing has ended! In the beginning she contributed after the users had put in their items...

Looking at the wishlist items I again was reminded of a big issue/downside on Kumos: No item hovers - have to manually account-& shop search by typing every single piece on Subeta proper. Sooo time consuming! And giving us a choice of only 3 items per person renders the thing into fast, but the choice isn't great either. I prefer the allover anonymity we had before... And the items don't change with refreshing. No wonder that people end up with triples of the same (probably actually unwanted) items, if the choice is restricted to the very same 3 items per user for every participant!

I do hope, that tomorrow's experience with MM will be nicer than today!

I don't know about other people, but I specifically have low cost items on my WL specifically for tree gifting threads and for random gifters in the gift centre. Could I buy all of my low cost items I have on my WL? Absolutely. Same with all the event currency items as well. I specifically don't buy any of those so come Luminaire I have things absolutely anyone can gift. There's nothing wrong with sending gifts to people of lower cost on their wishlist (unless they've specified otherwise).

However, when it comes to something like MM, having this happen is just repeating the same complaints people have had in the past about the old one-on-one system that pushed it towards a revamp in the first place (of people being paired with people who just send junk or nothing at all). I don't mind getting 100k WL items. I mind getting 3 x 13k WL items when my understanding is that you shouldn't be getting dupes even of WL items, or when it feels like people are actively choosing to all take the cheap WL option rather than put in the stuff they would have prior without the peek. Like, since the WL peek intro, the quality of items feels like it's drastically dropped, and the variety feels like it's dropped as well, because a lot of people are suddenly latching on to the same items because we're being shown the same items (not to mention the points where people are bringing up private WLs being used)

Yeah the WL peek thing just isn't working out. My group yesterday had 1 item duplicated 4 times, and two other items 3 times each. Plus I got back an item I put in, and mine was the only copy.

As I said, I appreciate that it can be frustrating for some people to get several cheap items from they're hoard wishlist. However there seems to be a sense of 'I paid this much and didn't get this much back' Like there's always been a risk of MM getting cheap players.

Don't get me wrong, I too get annoyed and frustrated with MM, but at the end of the day I just figured it's never going to change. You can't stop people giving what they want to give or trying to make profit from it.

In the essence of Christmas/Luminaire it's about giving, not receiving.

I think the same can be said, if your expecting a certain amount or from a spercific WL then maybe go join a 'gift the tree above' board because there's a 90% chance you won't get from your 'private' WL

hi. I don't know if I like the wl suggestions in MM. This morning I saw I got four of the same wl item and two of another, and another wl that was a recolor of the same item that I got four of. I'm not complaining about my gifts, they were wl items so I appreciate that, but I see issues coming up from this because the disbursement of the rest of the items donated don't get distributed as equally. Do I make any sense?

I entred for the first time this morning and my first impression is - it's fun! I wish we could get a bigger selection form the others WLs but it's fine!

Tried to get an item from each WL - and threw in two items I think everyone can use It's sort of fun to see that the others are also contributing.

Happy to have MM back, I never did it everyday, but I usually did a lot the days I entred - mostly themed. So excited for tomorrow morning!

I also have a few things on my Wl that are considered "cheaper" just because before my hiatus I wanted tp make sure even peole who were not into subeta that much coudl find something. That's stuff you can even get form dailies - like plushies and such So I am happy to get them!

Loving the amusement coming out of the MM absurdity, honestly. Thank you, anon, for my even more increased collection of Gentleman Pirates. Started laughing so hard I almost woke up my flatmate.

unfortunately I don't really like the WL peek thing either... one of my WL items was contributed three times, and I didn't even get one lol. maybe it was on someone else's WL too? but if it wasn't that's not great because it's not an expensive/hard to find item. (a l'amour parlor item) I mean if 3 people ostensibly contributed it, then... that means everyone but me did so and everyone but me got one lol.

so there's a lot of these "low value" site currency items flying around and not even making it to the "right" people. my displeasure(?) isn't that I didn't get the item, but moreso that other people got it and might have been like "why did I get this." and then it feels kind of bad/pointless to donate the WL items because they probably won't even go to the right people.

yesterday was my first time doing it with this feature and I used it for all 5 items but I didn't realize everyone in the group is apparently shown the same pool of WL items? so duplicates are inevitable. and then is it not weighted to go to the person that actually has it on their wishlist?

I think I'm going to go back to giving random things anyway. :0

[edit] oh, and i didn't even realize it but vesnali flowers were contributed - and those are on my WL as well. but I only have them there to keep track of which ones I need for bouquets... I feel like I need to delete most of my WL so other people don't get my random cheap items that are only on there for organization. u_u

so, I wish either A) private wishlists were not included in the peek or B) the peek gave a more diverse spread of items (in cost or how they are obtained) because right now, both times I'm looking at it it is filled with "low value" site currency items, which most people probably don't actually "need" gifted to them.

I really like the new messaging system! I love getting messages from the people in my group, MM feels a lot more personal now <3 I'd love to be able to get messages like "I like books" or "I love boosters" from the people in my group so I could prioritize giving items like that. Adding reactions or just liking other people's messages would be nice too.

I've to say I'm not really a fan of the WL peek though, at least how it is implemented right now. Yesterday I got multiples of items I have in a private WL, and while it's a lot better than just random junk items it's not as fun as before. Today was a lot better (no duplicates this time) but looking at the pool items someone else likely received a lot of cheap duplicates :/ This also prevents them from getting the more expensive non-wl items in the pool.

Other people have have already suggested a lot of improvements and I think the WL peek could be a really nice feature with some of these. I listed some I'd like to see implemented below.

1. No private WL items, I've set those categories as private for a reason.
2. WL peek needs to look different for all participants. Just having the items rotate is probably not enough, because most people in the group sign up at the same time and thus see the same items first.
3. Ideally Melody shouldn't be buying items that are shown in the WL peek to reduce chances of getting multiples.
4. I'd like to see more expensive items in the WL peek too. I know there's only a few items per person visible but they could have different price ranges?
5. Maybe a possibility to opt out of letting other people see your WL items? Possibly with a question mark icon in place of the item in the WL peek, so that other people would be more comfortable gifting items that aren't in anyone's WL. I really liked getting random items previously, some of them I hadn't even seen before so something like this would be nice :)

This time around: -> All items were from my WL -> Only one item repeating (thankfully it was an edible minion so i could eat one then put one in the minion farm, then gift the third (yes i got three of it)) -> One item was from a private WL (Lifelike doll)

I don’t mind putting in items of more value and getting lower cost wishlist items honestly myself. I got 2 wishlist items in the 100k range the first day the wishlist peek was initiated and they’re things I will use so I was like cool! I was just so tired of multiple days in a row of site currency items not on my wishlist before the wishlist peek personally. Yesterday I didn’t get any wishlist items but did get one food worth 30k that my pet hadn’t eaten so I considered that a win lol. The rest of the items weren’t bad at all but nothing I needed so I just tossed a few of them back into the pool today.

Some feedback since the wishlist peek has been implemented:

• Yesterday my group had 3 copies of two items go out. I assume because it was cheap and multiple people bought it off the wishlist peek when they saw it. I didn’t get any of those items. Not sure if someone got those multiples or they were distributed to more than one person.
• the wishlist peek only had 4 items for me the entire day and never added more or changed out.
• the messaging leads to a 404 page if you hit the notification on your sidebar. But if you go directly to the melody page you can see it.
• today I was put into a group that already had melody having purchased 8 items before I even got in it seems like, which I thought was weird. Usually she waits to add items.
• items that aren’t free gifts are being labeled as free gifts in the wishlist peek (one example for today is the book The Rumormonger which is actually in the new years shop)

Huh... Guess I'm not the only one to get two items three times.

Just voicing what others have voiced about the WL sneak peak not working as intended - instead of taking it as a suggestion, people are only buying the items that show up and flooding the pool with duplicates. If a group unfortunately only shows WL items under 50K, then the pool gets flooded with those low value items. The WL sneak peak definitely needs to either rotate periodically so the items change, show different items to each user, or maybe be removed completely until some fine tuning is done.

I don't think people are frustrated at getting easily obtainable items when they added items worth 1mil+ because they are not getting back what they put in. I think people are frustrated because they are putting some thought into their melody gift giving only to receive gifts that required no effort to obtain, regifted items thrown back into the pool, or items that come off as "fishing" for better stuff.

Melody may be adding to the problem. She just bought a couple of items from my shop for 100K when they are selling for below 10K. I have no idea why she is overpaying for items, but it looks like she is adding cheap items to the pool that could be misinterpreted as coming from actual players.

Had another pretty good run today overall. 3/7 of my received items were WL items today. (One of which was a duplicate/repeat item.) However, I also ended up getting either one or two of the items I put in the pool back.

This is the first time this has happened to me since MM started so...I'm not sure if something has been changed since the beginning or if I've just been extremely lucky until now. Either way, I thought I'd report it just in case it needs looking into.

I was in some pretty generous groups before the WL peek started, and since then people have been sticking to those items and I have been getting multiples of the same things.... I am quite generous by nature, so I do tend to go overboard, but the last few runs have been somewhat disappointing. I have also been in groups where some members contribute nothing.

Can the WL feature of MM at least please please ignore hidden/private wishlists?

I have one to keep track of which currency shop items I own, and I do not want to be gifted with them. And I've started receiving multiple duplicates of these items because they're easy and cheap to get. I would much rather get actual random things of around similar values.

Please, I don't want to have to delete my record-keeping wishlists just to keep MM usable.

Are…are the items that are being put into the pool by us still being the items that are distributed? I got nothing but cheap wl foods today, which, granted, are wl and ones i needed to feed, but i also got duplicates of 2 of them ;__; and the other items in the pool show none of the ones i contributed, and actually have more duplicates of odd event items o.o I’m noticing a trend in the other pool items both by type and value that don’t seem conducive to actual humans contributing, even though it says the other members of my group today all contributed

So, I think the wishlists need to have a bit of variety... I got 5 wishlist books. 2 were the same and 3 were the same. Grateful but... if everyone is gifting me the same book then I'm stuck with 3 books.

It's nice receiving wl items and all but I've seen in the other pool items multiples of the same item because of the peek thing. Can we at least get more variety of what we can see or something? The other day it was changing to a new set of items upon refreshing the page which was nice if stuff was too expensive etc.
