- it is a 17 foot Casita Spirit Deluxe. I think the deluxe part is just because it has a bathroom. It's really perfect...has everything needed, so comfortable. It is not vintage but I used to have a vintage 13 foot. I've been to the Vintage Trailer Rally up there in Pismo several times...I love it. Thought about going this year but something came up. I've never camped there just visited and wandered around amazed at all the creativity.

I just looked up the Casita and it looks like such a cute space! I would never want to leave if I was camping like that- -my own little hide-away with everything needed. Do you use solar for the fridge?

- I really never want to leave...it is always sad when I am packing up! The fridge works on propane or electric. So when I went to the desert with no hook ups I was able to use the stove and fridge just fine. My battery did start to die though and a neighboring camper loaned me an extra solar panel which provided enough to keep my battery alive. That little solar panel was a snap to hook up and it was small and under $50 so I bought one when I got home. Mostly I camp with hook ups though. You ask a simple question and I babble away (probably because that camper might be my favorite thing to talk about) :)

chat away. I've been obsessed with tiny houses for a couple of decades since I saw an exhibit at Dwell architecture conference. I sure wish they still had those conferences in L.A.

- me too! I love tiny houses! Sometimes I imagine living in my camper. It has a decent closet and other storage. I never make the bigger bed into a dinette because I have the smaller dinette which is fine...so the bigger bed is always a bed and for that reason I put an Ikea mattress on it...it fit perfect and made it much more comfortable. Also...I don't lose things in the camper like I do at home :P because absolutely everything has it's place - so organized. Home can be chaos sometimes...which might be why I sleep so much better in my camper...hahaha see what a runaway train I am?

do you ever go to Ikea and imagine living in each little display? I don't go often, but when I do, I have ice cream and pretend like I live in the tiny displays. Maybe it is an organization thing. I've never really thought about why I love tiny spaces so much. As a kid I would draw out floor plans for tree houses 😆 In rl I am scattered and disorganized (thanks adhd) so I guess that kind of forced order is soothing ^_^

- Same! I love Ikea for the same reasons! Ikea is more of an event than a shopping experience, especially the one near my daughter's house...love going there. When I was little I wanted a covered wagon like in the old west...I pretended a stuffed chair was the covered wagon and I would arrange my stuff in it then the footstool was where I sat to 'drive my team of horses' right out of Dodge :P towing my covered wagon behind me. I wasn't even part of a "wagon train" I was solo just trying to get away from everyone...omigosh the parallels in life later...

Ooh covered wagon, good idea! I wasn't so mobile. No one was allowed in my (future) tree house but me, and it was going to be in the mountains far from humanity. I've gotten a lot more social since then, for the most part 😅

Yes! What language are you studying? I Did Spanish years ago. More recently (about 4 years?) I tried arabic, which was WAY too hard (for a year or so, I DID try! every day!), then Yiddish which is a Jewish European dialect, and recently switched back to Spanish :-)

I gathered that from the song snippet. How did you have the courage? I'm terrified of heights! I can fly in a plane, because I'm enclosed, but skydiving, or cliff-climbing, or anything like that? My hands sweat just thinking about it.
