I have always loved library's everything about them.used to want to work in one.my daughter now works at two and she LOVESit so much.she reads usually 3 books at the same time..something I could never do.

Mine have reached a decision about what to do with internet access. The last months have shown the same pattern when it comes to that bad habit, which only eats up time and keeps mine from activities mine prefer.

Zo, mine will keep the mobile access until mine nest birthday. After that mine cut off all from mine phone, in favor of the peace of mind disconnecting may allow.

Mine stand to lose the ability to enjoy communicating with good folks like you, but the risk is far greater. Mine won't stop playing here, but it'll be far less often.

Forty days left it seems, mine try to savor the time.

Some updates. I know I've been scarce and when I'm depressed, I hibernate. I haven't been questing. The only thing I come on for is bath house and to throw snowballs. I threw 18,040 and I started off with 250 (so, 17,790 were thrown this year. That's crazy).

Saturday, I took my mom's dog for a walk. We went on a different street. An unleashed dog ran up to her and she was petrified. The owner said she was sorry. I said it's ok. She's scared of big dogs (she was attacked two years ago by a husky mix and I was also bitten on both hands. Sounds a lot worse to my hands than it was. My thumb was the worst. Couldn't bend it for a month and the other hand had punctures here and there. My mom's dog had punctures all over, the worst on her neck. Vet said if it wasn't for me, she wouldn't be alive. I got antibiotics). Then about 20 houses down, two rotties were playing tug a war with each other and there were two other large breed dogs as well. They were all unleashed. They ran up to her, I picked her up, she was freaking out, one dog grabbed her butt and I tripped. She completely escaped her harness and she was going to bolt. I managed to hang onto her until my dad came.

The top of my hand scraped and my knees are too. My right Is the worst. The man called my dad and my dad called animal control. Mom had to give her a bath as she expressed her anal glands. Animal control told him she'll be going over the to house and reminding him that his dogs are to be leashed, even if they're in the yard. She said this has been happening all over the city.

Anyway, all my scrapes are infected. No, I won't be going to the clinic just yet. I'm sure I can help them heal by salt water soaks, neosporin and peroxide. If they show no improvement in 4 days, then I'll go. I've healed all my infected cuts myself and I'm still alive x)

- wow...what a frightening ordeal. I used to encounter unleashed dogs back when I walked my dog and was lucky I guess. Why are all the unleashed dogs the big scary ones? I never see an unleashed chihuahua or poodle...it's always a pit bull, or rottweiler or something scary looking. That could have been so much worse...glad you and the dog are okay.

: I've not been to the world of Alaska. I have been to the world of San Francisco and to the magical world of Monterey and have fished in the great Pacific Ocean and swam with my Sea-weasel cousins, the otters. Spear fishing just beyond the surf is exciting.

There are so many lakes and streams up here in the Sierra Nevada that are great for fishing. The most beautiful fish I ever caught was the California Golden Trout on the eastern slope of the mountain range heading down into Owens Valley.

My Author's grandfather was a notorious curmudgeonly fisherman who defended his fishing hole passionately and sometimes fought other fisherman with dirty tricks. Once, on the Eel river near Fortuna California, he was bank fishing with Mark and dad Bill. When four fisherman in a boat trolled past Grandpa, he yelled at them to scram. They taunted Grandpa and called him an old coot. When they returned, trolling the other way, Grandpa whipped out a Department of Fish and Game badge and wallet and yelled at them to beat it or he was going to have them arrested. (it was a real badge that he had found). More jeers and taunts from the drunk fishermen in the boat. Grandpa tied on a secret weapon to his biggest pole, a lead weight he had cast with coat wire hooks imbedded into it. Just as the trolling boat passed by, he cast this big weight over the boat. He reeled the weight in furiously, snagged all their trolling gear and yanked all their poles out of their holders. He confiscated it all, about a 1000 dollars worth of tackle. The boat beat a hasty retreat and grandpa packed up 3everything and they all went home. When asked why they weren't g fishing anymore that day, grandpa simply replied. "I went fishing and caught my limit. I didn't say what I was fishing for, now did I?"

That's how Grandpa Orval guarded his fishing spot from encroaching fisherman.

It was scary and everything happened in the blink of an eye. I'm lucky that I wasn't bitten and I'm fortunate that the dogs didn't grab her out of my arms, because there would've been no way she would've lived (she's a 12lb terri shih-poo). I don't know why, but the little dogs get picked on.

- it's terrible people allow their dogs to run around unleashed. Such a danger to other dogs and people. I always thought if I get another dog it will be a small one and I'd get one of those harness things to use with the leash...thinking I could scoop her up quick if necessary. I could lift my last dog but not easily. She was very short but heavy :P

: I hope you heal fast and that you are feeling better soon. I don't understand people who cannot take better care of their animals. It's a shame that the only recourse available is to call animal control. It seems to be a very ineffective solution all around.
