Its been awhile since I got to fish, If I get a chance I want to go fishing in Alaska I know where some good fishing holes are.

Love to go there too for a little more than just fishing.I'd like to try a bit of panning there too. :)

I want to eat some right out of the water into frying pan fresh salmon and halibut. Like I did when I spent summers in Alaska.

My step mother used to smoke the salmon or make salmon patties it never lasted long. It was yummy.

A friend at my work always smoked salmon and i always had loads in my freezer from him.He smoked them for 12hr or more each time.Wow you could smell him and the plastic wrapped fish a mile away LOL You're making me hungry :P

Do you happen to know a recipe for the brine that you soak the salmon in?

This one looks good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1pdskBl_as The only step i didn't like is when he washed off the brine in water.I wouldn't do that i 'd want to keep as much of the brine flavour as possible and just let it dry off.Good brine though.I'd let it smoke for longer too. :)

You're welcome. My friend always left his sit in the smoker for much longer.Even though it was wrapped in plastic you could still smell it in the bank i worked at LOL

I found a dehydrator recipe for my son, he will love smoke salmon jerky. Oh my step Mom would leave it over night, but she was up all night keeping an eye on it.
