It is interesting, yeah :)
What are you watching these days? Has women's hockey gotten their stuff together yet?
I'm watching women's hockey a bit. It is still a mess
That's too bad. About a month ago I thought I heard they had worked out the problems.
The teams don't even have names or anything. It's still very much a mess.
Ooo I will have to look that up! I've never really heard of cozy mysteries before. Is that more similar to Agatha Christie style? I feel like hers are more gentle on my mind 😂
Awww that's so fun! OMG NOOOO!!! If I see things priced like that I will buy it and send it back to the shop owner 😭 That's so messed up 😭 I'm sorry!!! No more pricing on your tablet 😂
She is! Her actual name is Fredricka 😂 It definitely gives a Little Mermaid vibe but with lots of attitude lol!
the Litia village part is really good, some sad parts though
Yes, more like Christie than like Patterson, especially more comfy reads, usually, than Christie. This reddit post has a lot of good-sounding recommendations: https://www.reddit.com/r/suggestmeabook/comments/15220oc/i_love_cozy_mysteries_can_anyone_suggest_a_book/ From this blog of recommended and popular ones, I take it that the titles tend to the pun side, with food and cat themes appearing super popular... https://cozy-mystery.com/blog/most-popular-and-recommended-cozy-mystery-series/ The only ones on the list I have read myself are the Elizabeth Peters "Amelia Peabody" mystery series, and they were really funny, I seem to recall.
it's not so much that I enjoy depictions of Igbo cultural life though? then it wouldn't seem so surprising to me, because, yeah I am really interested in depictions of unfamiliar cultures by people from those cultures, in general, that's a thing I enjoy. No, for me, it's more that stories even about entirely unrelated things that just happen to be written by Igbo people tend to be things I especially enjoy reading.
ah, just melting away again :)
careful sometimes tog used costs more then new depending on wear and issue

:O I'm going to look at Amelia Peabody series on goodreads! I like funny ^0^ Thank you for the recommendations!
Ooo thanks for the heads up! I'll definitely make sure I can get the cheapest option 😂
- It sounds interesting but I'm not a good one for romances. It makes me all squirmy inside for some reason. I'll add it to my list, though, in case I ever want a romance to read. :D
- I've got tot the point where she (Vita) is talking to the teen Mallik. Haven't had much time to read today. Hopefully will have more time tomorrow. I like it so far. :D
That's really frustrating they can't get things together!
So I'm still not sure how I do it but I was on Reddit about to make a post and a 1 showed up. Pretty sure it's because I can do anything with the stylus on my phone but the tablet there's a few things where you need to use your finger instead of the stylus and then I space out and think I can do it. Did that make any sense at all? :-D :-P Watching the Superbowl. LOL
I think I get that!! I see you linking to Reddit and I'm obsessed with Reddit! Mostly dog subs and a few cooking subs and a few other fun ones.
It should be melting as it's a pain in the rear! 👏
mostly on reddit I read the Love Nikki and audiodrama boards, and some book subreddits sometimes (suggestmeabook, fantasy, a few others). I do like looking at the cat and dog pictures there too.
For finding recommendations or video game info, it's often the best source!
they're old, though, you might prefer something newer... but always happy to recommend stuff!
hope you enjoy the whole thing, it's fun to read something different I suppose! Thanks for keeping me updated hahah
Science isn't there yet. It's whatever.
the last one is 980 pages, ugh. but i can't put it down
yes it is xD

- Oh, no, I'm not reading anything different. I'm on chapter 45 of Vigor Mortis. I like it even though the sad stuff is happening right now.I love how she layers and builds on actions, just like things happen in real life. I've been a little distracted by my hubby's insistence that I watch MAS*H with him. Good Gods that is the goofiest show I thinkI've ever listened to. 😂
Bahahaha! 😂 To cringy to read?
It doesn't make any sense at all to me but I don't go on Reddit at all so I don't know anything about it 😂
I love older books! I'm definitely going to have to check them out next time I buy books ^0^
I love big books like that 😂 Is it super good?
MASH huh, yes if I'm remembering it right it is kind of silly but also sometimes dark humor since it's set in a war. I watched it a lot when I was in middle and high school, they had frequent reruns of it on in the afterschool but before dinner time slots which was when I mostly watched TV as a young teenager. I haven't really seen it at all since it ended its run.
I hope you find books you like! I feel like a lot of older books haven't aged well, though definitely some have.
Oh for sure, I've definitely noticed some that make me cringe a bit lol
It's fun seeing the pet pictures! I joined right before the pandemic and it was sort of meh but it suddenly got really busy and I found a bunch of subs I enjoy so now I love it.
So what have you been watching?
Snow still melting?
I didn't get it at first either. It's really basic and I over thought it. You just search for an interest and join the the sub. (AKA group) Then the algorithms show you posts from your subs/groups, and throw in a few random ones. I have TV shows, cooking, pets, it's almost any topic I can think of. Some are vicious and I typically don't comment on those subs/groups. And the pet ones are always fun but just don't post a pic of a dog in a car without it being tied up, as all of the know it all people will jump on you. Lol
