My favorite is "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas"!
I want a hippopotamus for Christmas Only a hippopotamus will do No crocodiles, or rhinoceroseses I only like hippopotamuseses And hippopotamuses like me too
For general holiday music listening I love Mannheim Steamroller's Christmas albums.
For nostalgia's sake I love singing Let it Snow because that has always been my dad's favorite song to sing (and make up silly lyrics to). And no, we do not live where there is snow.
I like the "lyrics" to the Strange Planet version of Let it Snow. [quote] Well the atmosphere's unpleasant. But these flames are incandescent. So if there's vapor in the skies Crystalize Crystalize Crystalize
I'm a big fan of this version of O Come, O Come Emmanuel.
I also enjoy the different Pentatonix Christmas Songs.
Also last year my (now) 7yo just missed out on having both of his front teeth gone for Christmas and I was so sad.

Fairytale of New York by The Pogues. I learned about them many years ago, and it has since taken over number one for me.
You were handsome You were pretty Queen of New York City When the band finished playing They howled out for more Sinatra was swinging All the drunks they were singing We kissed on a corner Then danced through the night

I'm a big fan of Coldplay (and among the lucky ones who got tickets for their tour in summer 2024) so I also really like their Christmas song, even though it's kind of sad.
Coldplay - Christmas Lights
Oh, Christmas lights Light up the street Light up the fireworks in me May all your troubles soon be gone Those Christmas lights keep shining on

ho hopefully by the maine! Ho ho hopefully, this holiday will make us believe that We're exactly where we're supposed to be And we're ho ho hoping that We all come back and as a matter of fact, I know We're exactly where we're supposed to be Together by this Christmas tree
I don't know that it's my favourite but 'I'm the happiest christmas tree' always makes me laugh because we had a little plastic one in the office that sang it if you walked past and people got REALLY fed up with it and it was very funny.
Oh, I'm the happiest Christmas tree Christmas day, wait and see I'll be laughing happily With a hoo-hoo-hoo-hee-hee With a hey and a hee and a hoo-hoo With a hee and a hoo and a hah-hah With a hoo and a hah and a hey-hey
12 Days of Christmas (only because its the only one I know the lyrics to)
On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Twelve drummers drumming Eleven pipers piping Ten lords a-leaping Nine ladies dancing Eight maids a-milking Seven swans a-swimming Six geese a-laying Five golden rings Four calling birds Three french hens Two turtle doves and A partridge in a pear tree

My favorite holiday song is "Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer." It reminds me the time in childhood when the holidays are still full of magic.
These days I can only remember the opening bit:
Rudolf the red nosed reindeer Had a very shiny nose And if you ever saw it You would even say it glows...
Happy Luminaire! 🎅
My favorite holiday song is Carol of the Bells. I can't say that I have a favorite lyric, though (the lyrics are not the reason why I listen to and like it)
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays by NSYNC
Cause everybody knows It's Christmas time and All the kids will see The gifts under the tree It's the best time of year for the family
Holly Jolly Christmas :)
Have a holly, jolly Christmas And when you walk down the street Say hello to friends you know And everyone you meet
