Since Ornamented Hook Swords and Maniacal Slappy Hand both largely block earth icons, I would focus on getting just one of them. Otherwise you'll have two earth blocking weapons and still need weapons that block other icons. Of course, we have yet to see the Tier 11 revamp which hopefully doesn't shake the icons up too badly.

Battle Quest

I went with MSH because I wanted the added physical block. It was a bit cheaper for me than OHS as well. My initial plan was to wait for the next Gelly War to earn the components to make the MSH, but I lucked out and found some good deals.

I don't really think you can go wrong with your choice; just don't aim for both at this time. I hope this helps!

Thank you for the info on the MSH cause I just stuck it my armory and did think about it. That is great info cause it saves me money. :) I do not have to buy the OHS

You're welcome! As pointed out earlier, OHS has value as well and I may add it to my armory in the distant future after I've acquired higher priority weapons. For now, MSH serves me well for blocking earth.
