: My Author's (Mark) house is nearly 40 years old. He and his mate, Francine, are original owners when the house was built. It's a modest tract home. As with many cookie-cutter homes of the 1980 Operation Rezone era, it was constructed on a cement slab, all plumbing imbedded in the concrete. Settling, earthquakes, and poor quality materials (very common with the builder of these homes) all lead to premature failure of household fixtures. As it turned out, the hot water pipe that flows between the boiler and the bathrooms burst and leaked up through the slab floor, saturating the carpet in the family room. A cold water pipe has also broken and is leaking under the kitchen floor. This explains why the laminate floor has failed and is bubbled up in places.
The immediate consequences are that they have had to shut off the hot water to the house. Next is tear-out of the flooring in two rooms (lots of moving furniture, etc.) Securing an immediate loan is the most troublesome aspect. Hiring contractors, and enduring the work interruptions are sources of endless anxiety.
The upshot is that they are going to have to re-plumb the entire house. This will most likely be done by running PEX pipe (plastic) overhead and dropping the pipe down inside the walls in three places. It will require some wallboard work, flooring replacement, painting, moving furniture back in...not something anybody in their late 60s looks forward to.
Weldon and I would love to help, but we're stuck up in the mountains during the recent snowstorms and my Author isn't available to drive up and pick up up.
: Wow...a Soda Candy ring...Those are rare. They go back to very early Subeta days. I struggled to get all the candy rings when I was going for the achievement. Some were nearly impossible to get.
: It was a very good game. A nail-biter.

That happened with our water heater, and we to have a cement slab. Thankfully ours wasnt as involved as yours sounds like it will be. My house was built in 1973, and i am happy to have no basement. Since early 90s, houses are being so cheaply build. As my Mom would say, the walls are so thin you can throw a cat through them. For being in a city, and age of house I have a nice big backyard. Enough for 3 kids and 2 dogs, when my sons were growing up.
I hope with all my heart, that taking care of this issue wont be so financially, physically and mentally demanding. I hope you have some strong young backs to help. HUGS

That;s it thanks.
It didn't work unless it takes a while to activate. There's no brackets or anything missing?
This is the custom CSS I use for floating items, which is a bit different than the other posted
.floating_item {
border:3px solid steelblue;
position: absolute !important;
top: 10px !important;
left: 210px !important; }
Alternatively, you might try using the code from -Items">here.
As for biting, Gunner hasn't opened the VIP yet, but when he does, you'll go there to sign up for an infection and it'll allow you to be bitten.
