I don't remember if I told anyone here but Wednesday night I thought I hit a little black bear but it wasn't instead it was a 120 lb black beaver which totalled the front end of my car

hello bears... i want to tell you what happened today in good old germany and how to deal with a little helpless creature... the post is a bit long, but my heart hurts so much and i have to be able to tell someone... i hope the translator doesn't make any mistakes...

I got the information that a little rabbit was sitting outside in the frost without litter and food and was doing badly... the water was frozen, there was neither food, litter nor any protection against the cold... the little box in the cage was completely covered in coals just like the little rabbit and it was freezing outside... I had fresh straw and food with me and as there was no one around, I put the straw in the box and wanted to put the little one in so that it wouldn't freeze and give it some food. . but the little bundle was lying on its side and wasn't moving, only one paw had twitched briefly... so I grabbed the little heap and put it under my jacket to warm it up... there was no one anywhere to be seen and the little one was in a bad way... so I galloped home... I thought I would nurse it up and go over tomorrow and let them know that the little one was with me and I would bring it back.... According to the information, more and more rabbits have been disappearing from the hutch since the summer... I'll leave it up to you what happened to it... the little one wriggled briefly on the way home and I hurried, but by the time I got home the little soul had already crossed the 🌈 bridge... I was desperate and begged and cried for him to come back, it's warm here and I'll help him... but the rabbit was emaciated to the bone and had no strength left... I was too late, yet another animal died in my arms... I was too late... simply too late... it breaks your heart... no living creature deserves to die like that, none... no matter how big or small it is... An acquaintance had called the police at midday and asked that someone go there and take care of the little creature... the two then stood on my mat 4 hours later, informed me that I had committed a criminal offense, said the little ninja would be "properly disposed of" and took the little one with them... they recommended themselves with the words I would get mail from the criminal investigation department and they were gone... long live Germany...

and just as an aside; I will continue to look in every box that is at the container or at the edge of the forest to see if someone has abandoned animals & will never stop saving a life if I can, no matter what our laws say... if we acquire animals we have a responsibility & can't just leave them to fend for themselves or to die alone... they have no voice with which to ask for help, so we must speak for them...!!! and if I am punished in my country for disregarding the indifference of our "guests" then something is wrong here.... bad here in our country... how would it be if we had to do without the "thing" animal... I would really like to know how many volunteers volunteer to search for avalanche victims or even press their noses into the dust to dig for bombs.... what kind of person can predict hypoglycemia or feels like protecting a blind person in public hour after hour every day... the "things" do it, with all their heart regardless of their own lives and they forgive, always... no matter how cruelly we treat them or what bad things we have done to them... we should put that behind our ears... now that is so sad it upsets me when any animal is left out in the cold here pple don't care for stray cats I'm outside now in the cold feeding them n talking to them n I made 3 more warm beds today I will continue to make warm closed in beds till they r all nice n cozy

... i found the little one, search around if the owner was there... I was told to be careful because the people are known to the police and are aggressive... but that was never important to me... i'm old and i've lived my life and if things should really go wrong i know in the end that i could still do something good...

... it's the same here... we have places where private people take care of strays... but they are only known to those who take care of the animals there in all weathers and i am so grateful that there are such people... they always go there because the animals are always hungry and you can't say oh i don't feel like it today... if you build sleeping places for summer and winter then use styrofoam boxes... you can often get them for free in asia stores or restaurants... the boxes are special waste and the people are happy when they are rid of them... styrofoam is easy to work with and is weatherproof... put some straw in, that's it... no blankets, they absorb moisture... i have such boxes in the garden in winter, for strays, hedgehogs and all those who freeze... i get straw from the farmer here for free... i only have to buy the food and that's where you quickly reach your limits... but then i can live with vegetarian food for a week... anything goes if you want it to... thank you for opening your heart to those who need your help... one day all your protégés will be waiting for you at the rainbow bridge...

... in the eyes of the law, animals are just things and are treated as such... humans will never understand that their right to be at the top of the food chain can be taken away by nature at any time... i don't know if you know the saying; when the last tree is cut down, the last fish caught and the last river poisoned, you will realize that you can't eat money...

I'm with you 1000%... the little one was seen by neighbors in the morning, but I didn't get the information until midday, maybe a few hours earlier would have saved the day.. but that's how people are; They see something like that, go home, call the neighbors and get upset, but no one does anything... just because they're afraid they might get something themselves... so what...? Anyone who is afraid that another person will harm them should no longer go outside the door and should get themselves buried... You can be run over by a car at any time or otherwise injured by other people's carelessness

u have a good heart for helping and trying the help even tho it's too late for some they know u tried and that's what counts I do get styrofoam free I have tons I use the cats love it n I go thru 40 lbs of friskies a month my son n I got to pet a few so we calmed them down n they love all the loving they run up to us when they see us the way we look at it is all animals are God's animals we are suppose to take care of them
