Poison Ivy only makes some people react and it's due to an allergy that most people have but 1/4 of the population has no reaction to the urushiol oil that causes the poison ivy reaction. You also have to break the leaves or stems and actually get oil on you not just brush against the plant to cause the allergic reaction and repeated exposure can result in becoming mildly or fully immune to it.

Thank you for the gift yesterday. Since today is Monday I decided to look up some facts and I couldn't decide on just one, so here are a few:
