Oh? Was it the tamagotchi familitchi, the one with the little chimney at the top? Or a knockoff model fully molded to look like a cookie? I know the familitchi has a skin that looks like a cookie with little designs that look like bites were taken out.

I've always wanted some of the newer old models but the familitchi and music star go for like 150$ or more sometimes it's absurd...

thats crazy! It was definitely a real Tamagotchi, it had it written at the top. I'm pretty sure it came from Walmart. I don't remember very well though. Cant believe its worth so much now haha

This is the one I was suspecting you may have had btw. Did I find it? Probably one of the MOST desirable skins for this particular model so lucky you if this is it. If you have it still and aren't so attached you could make a pretty penny off of it.

I adore Tamagotchi but I can never for the life of me remember to take care of them. I do have the Evangelion ones though (how could I not?) and every so often they have to come out of storage...

I remember being obsessed with my neighbour's tamagotchi in the 90s but didn't have one of my own at the time.

They had a bit of a resurgence in 2004/5 and had a series with infrared communicators in so I had 2 of those. I remember one of my friends sending me a postcard when she was on holiday to tell me her tamagotchi had a baby haha.

I recently found my two and put new batteries in them (can't believe it's been 20 years since I bought them...). It was a lot harder than I remembered to keep them alive. I'd join a meeting at work and next time I checked, they'd be dead. How was I keeping them alive at school?
