- That's a really good question, one I'm not quite sure how to answer as it's been a long time for me, also. One story that did scare me that has resounded through the years is Peter Straub's "Ghost Story." I love a good ghost story. Also, "The Haunting of Hill House" by Shirley Jackson. Add to those a good dose of Stephen King in the form of "IT" and "'Salem's Lot." I read all those when I was a teen and they've stayed with me all these looooooong years. 😂 It is interesting how our taste changes as we get older. ::D

Our Tiny Terror behaved at the farmers market and seemed like he enjoyed being carried around. But he's back in trouble with me. Last night It was raining and I'm thinking when I let him out for the last time he didn't want to go in the rain to pee and then peed on my nightstand sometime during the night. He's going to be sleeping locked in the kitchen tonight instead of on my bed. Grrrrr! :-D

I think it's just that we're easier to really scare from a book when we're younger. As adults, we're easier to scare about real life maybe, but books don't have that level of immediacy as when we were kids. Maybe that's it.

- I think you have the right of it there. We're so much more impressionable and less experienced when we're young so more scares us. As I've gotten older I've come to realize that real life is more scary than a book. :)

Good idea! A while back I bought doggie diapers and I should put one on him at night. It's almost a battle to get them on when you're dealing with a little dog that's also a bit chonky. He doesn't do it every night, just when you think he's being so good. LOL :-P

I think some things that are more plausible to really happen can be scary as an adult, but I don't honestly like reading those things. Like, this one book I read where the narrator's young child died when she was distracted by her older child, when she was supervising them around a fun yet dangerous natural landmark, that would've scared me if I had been willing to read up to that point but instead I just stopped reading the book because I don't want to think about that kind of thing at all 😆

- I imagine it would be about the same as putting a diaper on a recalcitrint 3 year old. Who pees on your nightstand in the middle of the night. XD I say use duct tape, those flimsy fastners may not be enough. 😆 (But seriously, you really should try it out to see if it will work.) :D

- I completely agree. This may sound silly to some but The chapter where Mrs. Weasley sees the bogurt and it shows her her deepest fear (the death of her family) in The Order of the Phoenix really upset me because it dealt with family. These days, I think I get upset over stuff instead of getting scared. :D

In the past I would have just called my cable company (Comcast aka Xfinity) but I have their app on my phone and when I checked it all out I found I could request a credit for the hours it was out right from the app. I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of it.

I don't normally wear anything pink but I'm going to go for it and both of us are wearing as much pink as possible. 😂

- Nope. Never saw them. I'm not one for mushy movies and those had mush scrawled all over them. lol Hubby says if something doesn't blow up in the first 10 minutes then I'm not interested. This is silly but so "Me"... Back before I became a boring married person I went on a date with a guy who wasn't my hubby. I know... the outrage! He told me that he would defer to me and deigned to see a "chic flick." I took him to see Aliens. I don't think I've ever seen a guy with a bigger grin on his face. 😆

He pees all hours and all places! I've had to change my bedding late at night twice. Ughhhh! He's totally crazy! He has gotten better but then he has to "mess" up every once in a while to remind me he's still cray cray. Not long after we rescueed him I seriously considered re-homing him but Liz told me she would never talk to me again if I got rid of him. She adores him. :-)

- That does limit your options. Ever thought of getting a "crazy dog whisperer?" Either that or catheter and high dosage tranq? Your cray-cray pooch is the reason I won't get a pet now. I'd just end up with one like your little terror. We had pets for the kids for a bit but I always ended up cleaning and/or feeding them. I put my foot down when the last pet went across the rainbow bridge. No more unless they take care of them. We haven't had a pet for years. Well, except my hubby and the kids fed him so we had to keep him... 😂
