well arthritis progressing along unfortunately but it's not too bad yet so I am still mostly fine! also digestive issues. I'm sure in 20 more years it'll be horrid but for now it's all tolerable :D

hmm no that wasn't it (or it was maybe part of it but not the main thing, honestly I didn't even remember that was in there but I can certainly believe it - that was my issue with at least two other books but not this particular one, I guess he wasn't as young or he was more in power in the situation though than the ones I objected to)

I've just been looking everywhere on YouTube to find the video and can't find it. When I watching it I was on the elliptical and not paying close attention but I thought the person said there's a new Harvest Moon coming out and for a limited time the old one is free. We didn't have internet yesterday afternoon and half the day today so I couldn't check but when I get on AC tonight I'm going to check. And hopefully it's true. If by chance I get it I'll message you on FB. I thought they said until the 21st.

I always think there's so many more violent young men these days so maybe it's video games. And I can't really say what the problem is, but I thought that's what you implied so I agreed. :-)

not sure entirely but - the subplot with him going into the fae world and that tree - the lack of progress getting toward knowing how the situation from the framing story came about - characterization of some of the female characters seemed more off in book 2 than it had been in book 1

- The jaunt into the Fae world did seem like it was stuck on as an after-thought once the book was finished. I wasn't Terribly impressed with it. As for the characterization of the women in the story, I came away with the impression that they had first been created as male characters and then switched to female when the author saw he didn't have enough women in his book. How that bit of the story fits in with the framing story and the end that we've seen? I have no idea but I don't think what frames the story is the actual ending. I think it may just be the end of the middle of the story, if that makes any sense. XD

if it was the middle, it would've been reached halfway through book 2 of 3 though.. and it wasn't. Hence my issues with it. I didn't even feel like it would be the end, more like the books would finish with still no idea how it happened!

- I agree that the beginning of the book and the framing story did bite off more than it could chew. He's supposed to have another short story released this Autumn. Perhaps it will fill in some of the huge holes? XD
