- Hubbys can be useful that way. :) My weekend has been good. I've been doing nothing but decompressing from the prev week. Our next door neighbor has fired up his grill and hubby is going over there to grill hot dogs. How about you? Any grilling in your future? :D

- Hugs Thanks, hon. I'm doing well. Friday ended a busy week and a half for me and I've been doing nothing but relaxing. I did start Patrick Rothsfus's book "The Name of the Wind." omg, where has this book been all my life? It's so nice to finally read something good. :D Now, he just needs to finish the trilogy. XD

Name of the Wind! I enjoyed that book quite a bit, too bad I didn't like the sequel. I am not even sure if I'd read the third book should he ever write it... hope you enjoy book 2 more than I did!

I feel like Rothfuss was trying to be both Gene Wolfe and Brandon Sanderson, and in the vise between super-pop-readable-epic and quality-literary-puzzle-novel he wrote a promise he couldn't figure out how to keep. Which is why book 3 never appeared; at some point Kvothe would have to kill a king or at least seem to do so, you know? And transform believably from who he is in book 2 into the guy in the frame story of book 1.

Oh well.

- Well, it's not a total loss. I've read other series that ended up biting off more than the author could chew. (Game of Thrones!) I'll let you know what I think of the second book. So far, the first book is worth a middling second one with no conclusion. Especially since Joe Abercrombie's latest book fizzled and flopped. He should have taken longer with the book and thought through the ending better. You win some, you lose some. :D

If I was allergic to an ingredient I sure would ask. But when the pharmacist gets the prescription wrong not much I can do about it. Enjoying being unemployed? Lol

Oh good! I wish I felt creative. I've been having so much trouble with writing this past few months. Half the stuff I want to write, I can't seem to finish.

And I didn't notice how cute your HA is!! Some really nice items at the Menagerie. Ugh, it's so hard when your brain isn't letting you be creative. Although, for me writing has never really happened. I have tons of plots and ideas but putting it down on paper is so hard! At least if you've been having trouble writing for a while it's probably time for your brain to start cooperating again. :-)

There's great stuff this year, especially the more expensive backgrounds I think, and some of the rave stuff. I do really like the thing I have on, too.

The thing that makes me laugh about this particular HA is that the item that looks like a mask is not: and the item that is a mask is just blush/freckles: ! 😆
