2011: Faceworm and Heart Burn 2018: Naked Mole Wrath
I was in a pinch for a thing and needed something. It wasn't a lot but I am bummed that it was kind of a waste of money. We can use it for a decoration at least.
I honestly don't know. It was their responsibility to fix the road and we had someone who acknowledged the city knew about it and hadn't yet fixed it, so theoretically it means they need to pay for my repair but...whether they actually will is another story.
I've had to buy so many things at the last minute and be disappointed. But hey, knowing how to make things work in one way or another is better than having to toss it.
Yeah, I didn't love it but it worked in the moment for what I needed. I just need to pay better attention to what I'm gonna need when I can haha.
yeah I can see those -nods-
Yeah I know getting the government to do things is not always easy
It really isn't. I won't know for more than a month.
your ha is looking a bit put through it's paces lol. love it. Man my body hurt. My new piano arrived today. It was a bitch getting it in the house and that was with help. Doesn't help that yesterday was so full of moving to make room for it that I and dad were already hurting. Oh well, it's here and its lovely.
I used to start collecting items for costumes a year in advance. Now I have no point in dressing up since I live in the foresty mountains. QnQ
I forgot to ask, which ones were you not digging and needed to cover ?
I'm sorry y'all were hurting but I'm glad that you've been able to get your piano home and set up!
I enjoy dressing up but I am poor and lazy and I just don't remember until it's too late that I need something.
Oh honey, I damn near exclusively got stuff from the thrift shop and reused anything I could. My costumes tend to be a version of my own (like a punk, male Harley Quinn), where most of it is just stuff I can wear outside of the costume and not be questioned. So buying pants at the thrift shop for 5 bucks meant I had new pants, and a piece for various costumes.
I used to thrift but it's like a nightmare now tbh. And I got fat lmao.
i don't like Bindi Bite for some reason I can't explain. But I really hate Blood Rush, Death Worms, Foot Rash, Heartburn, Lobotomeat, Mistery Meat and Muerte Fuerte,
me too. It's been kinda crazy here. We've been doing some furniture shuffling and it's been exhausting
Oh yeah, not fitting the "standard" gets harder when thrifting for sure (in shopping in general). Not the same, but shopping for button up shirts is a nightmare for me. Going off standard sizing, my neck is a large and my body is a small/medium (used to be worse when I was an extra small/small). Get a dress shirt to fit my neck and I am swimming in it, get one to fit my body and the gap between the button and the hole is so wide I can't hide it with a tie.
Ooh, so mostly the ones that are more detailed on the blood/gore side. Although Lobotomeat and Muerte Fuerte kinda stand out there (lobotomeat has those detailed stages though).
yeh I guess that is a good assessment. though there are some more gory ones that I don't mind lol. Lobotomeat has some really gross/graphic stages and I don't really like the end either. and Muerte furete is ugly lmao and I pretty much hate all of it.
Oh yeah, moving stuff around is always really tiring. I hope it's getting to be where you want it to be though!
Oh dude, same general issues for sure on that. I know menswear is just as wonky if you don't fit pattern sizing perfectly. Everything requires weird tailoring and if you can't do it yourself you're screwed.
Gasp How dare you insult me and my baby, Muerte Fuerte ;)
Yeah, and it's almost like having almost no standard in sizing (mostly in women's wear), while also basing our sizing on poor, underweight white people from the 1920's is maybe not the best. We're all "supposed" to fit our clothing to our biggest body part and then tailor the rest down to fit us. But... most of us can't do that. It sucks, but we can't. Time, lack of being educated on it. Paying someone to do it used to be more affordable but is now far more expensive and harder to find. Clothing shopping just sucks.
Oh yeah, the measurements are the weirdest things ever. Brand to brand and even item to item within brands can be way off. It's so dumb. I wish I could remember how to use a sewing machine, I'd buy one and relearn how to fix hems and shit and just go ahead and work on learning to tailor to what I need.
teeheehee well you don’t look like that lol which is fortunate xd
lol so do i! Got a desk arriving that i need to assemble and a bookcase do lol hopefully thats the last of it
It's so ridiculous ! I buy some women's pants because I don't care, and the lack of standards is horrible. At least with most mens stuff they go with inches. Trying to convert anything at all is hard and is STILL a guessing game. And no pockets. I don't like things in my pockets so that isn't that big of an issue, but still. I have an old hand-me-down Brother sewing machine, so I can do some stuff. But I am not very good.
But I could, if I get really into steroids. And fully tattoo my body. But that takes too much effort, I'll just stay looking human I guess.
