, I know! Remember when I said I'd be doing a drop every day?? The problem is that I wanted to hold myself to making a remembrance post each time, and if I couldn't think of something to say, or if I felt like I didn't have the energy, I just didn't post. Also then 2023 just became a lot of IRL stuff that just made me keep forgetting that I had to do a drop. XD It'll get done eventually, I've got 80 pages left, so 80 more drops. ....yeah I'll probably be finished by end of 2024 XD

While I really enjoyed that Subeta moved to their own holidays rather than real life ones, it ended up feeling almost a tiny bit more exclusionary because of it. When they celebrated Christmas but released some items for Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, it made sense. When Luminaire started and it's essentially Christmas with the name shaved off, it doesn't really feel like a non-denominational holiday. It just feels like "It's Christmas but we're pretending that everyone celebrates this way". You've got an advent calendar (including a day of coal), a tree, presents that open on the 25th.... that's just Christmas. Pretty sure the main colors are still red and white, though I admit I'm unsure what the more recent melody themes have been. Morostide is pretty much just Halloween with the name taken off as well. At least Vesnali is less obviously Easter as it's flower gathering rather than egg hunting, and Fireside is less Thanksgiving what with the whole sacrificing items to a giant bonfire spirit.

Granted, I'm not saying that this is BAD or WRONG. I'm just saying that it actually felt a bit more inclusive when we were getting items based off of other religions as well. (though once again I must admit that if there have been items released for other religions since 2015/2016ish, I just would be unaware)
