Question for any and all who Autotrain!
When do you stop? Like at what point do you go back to normal training your pet?
I don't often autotrain but I got csc and I want my Littles to get stronger for the oncoming big battle months (survival and Moro)
Thanks for any input!
I personally don't start toming/stop autotraining until my pets hit Tier 8. Because that's when the utility of autotraining tanks (there's a 50 level near there really drops classes per day) and it's also when I have typically read the pet almost all the books that cost less than intelligence boosters/tomes. I know others stop autotraining much earlier like Tier 6 or Tier 5.
If you don't have access to much CSC Tiers 1 to 4 are the most bang for your buck to autotrain. The amount of stats you get in a day is crazy. Also Tier 4 is where you can push a bit further in BQs and when it feels more comfortable to start farming the lower level challengers outside of BQs for amulets/tomes for high amounts of wins.
Your mileage may vary.
Auto Training Adds pretty quickly when you do it every day. 25 CSC seems pretty affordable but it adds up pretty quickly.
I like to just quantify what i'm spending in sP versus what I could just go out and buy in Tomes right now (considering that delicious AP potential from Tomes). You earn 1-3 points per session. Definitely a good deal early but not for the long haul. I'd recommend doing that and seeing how you feel about the price tag vs when everyone else stops.
It is worth noting that autotraining is more likely to give you 2 or 3 stats per class than regular training.

I just got a new pet yesterday. Hot Mess I haven't started auto training yet, I am just working on the levels, so I can start. I don't always have much csc because I tend to spend it as fast as I get it, so I usually only auto train to 4-6 tiers. I feel like the first few tiers you get more bang for your buck and who are we kidding.......... I lose patience and just start boosting. :P
Cara and Evil both make great points, so I would say it is more of a personally thing.
Congrats on the new pet, love the name!
My army is at 20 right now.... oof!
Thanks Amers! <3
That is a big army! Congrats on all of them.
Congrats on your new pet. 🎉 That was so sweet of you to name it after me! ❤
Thank you<3 You know I will think of you now when I am using that pet! haha
I could definitely be wrong but I don't think auto-training necessarily does give extra bonus stats compared to regular training because I collected some data on my pets awhile back and through auto-training the average stat per session was only 1.63. I kinda feel like it's more that it gives the illusion of it being a better chance because having pets in more frequent training means you're rolling the dice more. (">The post I made with my data is here!)
I usually train to around the end of the 150-249 group (so abt T5-T6) depending on how impatiently I want to gain stats, and because the drop to only 9 sessions at 250+ lvls feels a bit drastic. I think for cost effectiveness, while csc is 9.5-10m per hundred, a 250+ level pet is around the turning point where it becomes a bit cheaper to use boosters instead. (Especially while tomes are at a faaaairly steady price of 2-2.2mill per tome.) With a lvl 150-249 pet (with a gold acct) it'd cost about 104k to 110k per stat at current csc prices (using the average stat per session I have from my post linked above), so for me personally, that and below is a fairly reasonable price for the convenience of it.
It really is just personal preference at the end of the day though, because it depends on if you want to be spending extra sP on a passive stat gain, or extra time on an active one.
Thank you everyone! I appreciate all the feedback ;_; this will help me immensely with the growing pet army!
A old staff programer told us that autotraining was weighed more heavily to 2-3 per class. They explained in detail at the time and the more math inclined users agreed it was significantly higher than regular training. This was years ago so I can't link you to the post.
So glad to help! ROFL!
