I will miss you being here, but totally understand my Friend. Abrazos

I have been reading all the posts here, since my brain forgot to subscribe, and I missed so much....hehehe. You have a lot going on! How are you doing in Duolingo? Were you able to get back into it, and Babbel? I am still going strong in Duolingo, but I also dabbled over at Babbel. I still seem to do better over at Duo, although I see they are making many changes to the computer version vs. the phone app. I don't care for the changes much, since I loved doing all those stories. I learned better with them, it seemed more immersive, rather than just learning words and phrases. But I will continue to give it a shot. I hope you get to learn all that you are striving for over there!
I couldn't find what you needed crutches for - are you healed from whatever made you need them? :O I am sorry you were hurt in any case, and am praying you are healing nicely. Also, I see you have a cold. You like to sweat those out, and I am praying that is working well for you, and feel back to your baseline before too long, and it doesn't nag you for too long.
And what impressive test and final score you had! Congratulations on your hard work and rewards for it! I didn't quite understand all the parts about the unfinished business with the groups at college, but take it that some parts couldn't be completed by some. Will they get an opportunity to complete whatever was unfinished, or is it just a done deal since the semester is finished?
Gonna miss you, and the accounting of your days while you are absent from this place, and will await to see your kind self when you return. I wish you much peace from your time away!
Can't wait to see the new baby's gender! Praying all goes well with the pregnancy, and will be excited to hear how all are faring once the wee one gets here.
As promised, the new baby is a girl! My brother goofed on the date, but the result is welcomed. Our mother always said she only wanted granddaughters, she would just be overjoyed!
Congratulations on your soon to be new niece. Abrazos =)

Congrats!
Mine been dabbling with both for quite awhile, but in either case with limited tries. Mine have the entire day to practice, yet seem to only focus in the evenings. Mine figured that between semesters would boost mine progress, but it wasn't the case.
About a week ago mine injured mine left knee with a bad swing of a hatchet. After the shock and first aid, mine drove to an urgent care facility to receive stitches. The crutches were necessary for three days, afterwards mine just try to balance rest and activities. Mine scheduled for removal towards the month's end.
Solid A average for mine final grade, tho the class project of transmission rebuild was ground to a halt when the instructor was called away for an emergency. No one finished, while my transmission may be sitting in storage until mine can ask about it in January.
One facet of wanting to take time off, is partly to overcome a bad habit that comes with internet access and too much time. As helpful being here can be, it only takes a hint to derail to regrettable actions.
Do you enjoy learning languages? It does seem fun, as learning modules go. I do like Babbel, but I really liked the stories that Duo had on their website. I loved the way I learned more of the language in those stories, but now they have removed them in both their app, and the website. :(
Oh my! :O I am so sorry you had that happen! Are you getting around ok now? That could have turned out a lot worse, for sure - am certainly glad it didn't!
Well that is a let down, not to be able to finish the rebuild. I do hope it's something you can try on your own at some point, if it's something you want/need to practice. Hope the emergency the instructor had wasn't something too bad. :( Was that the same instructor who had a new baby? I keep thinking there was an instructor of yours who was due to have a new kiddo....maybe not tho...lol
I wish you the best for your time away! HUGS
Mine had before the revamp, tho the stories were not available then. Mine added some reading to try reinforcing the lessons; familiar things, folk tales, reference books, The Bible. This really is for enrichment, zo mine think full fluency may come with a more intense approach.
The injury could have been worse, at this point its keeping off and making use of that time.
It was a big disappointment, not being able to finish the rebuild. Its not something mine can do at home, a transmission needs to be assembled vertically for proper alignment. Mine does not have a suitable table or correct setup for the rebuild. The instructor mine mentioned had announced being a grandfather, three semesters ago.
When mine return, it'll be under a better mindset.
Thank you all for your thoughtful gifts, much more than mine deserve.
Congratulations on the newest branch in your family tree! I hope you have a quick and painless knee injury recovery.
Grabs your hands and dances with you near your fireplace. :D
Many chances for mine siblings to hope for their own grandchildren, tho the youngest brother still holds the grandson card. Mine wouldn't want to endanger the recovery by doing something stupid.
The nest semester is paid off, zo just a few weeks before mine take on the Engine Performance I course.
Most certainly, being able to immerse myself in a culture, has been the best way I learn a language. Most of the languages I know, came from actually being in that country, and speaking with natives, or doing the same in my own country. And it's so very interesting, learning languages, cultures, histories, and such. <3
Sure am glad it wasn't! :O
I sure hope you can find a way to do the rebuild at some point. It would be great for your learning repertoire for sure. AHHHH!!! A grandfather! Yes! Now I remember!
What a fun dance!!! Sorry I stepped on your toes! hehehe
You tossed your into the rift and a moment of calm is followed by a flash of red lightning, before the rift shoots out ! :D
nice! Glad to see the rift being nice for once. One of the people I know yesterday got an ice cream cone that said it was going to eat him!
Well, the outlook for mine car looks good. The vapor canister is part of the root cause for the engine warning, zo replacing it may be the best remedy. The water pump issue has been retorqued and it hasn't leaked much since. And the brakes aren't due for replacing for at least a few months, plus the registration is renewed under mine name zo any issue has the nest year to resolve.
The usual maintenance comes, at least the car warns oil changes.
Here's looking for snowballs to hit, it'll fit nicely with the HA theme.
Rift is nice sometimes. And other times it eats my gift and runs away. I never saw what you wrote about though! Zoiks!
You can toss at me. They melt.
Mine will have to pass on that. Mine car needed towing after a no crank problem, an mine don't feel like much this evening. Only one job for tomorrow, work out the problem with the starter. Mine hoping for a better outcome than a replacement.
Al mine want is a warm fire, a cup or two of coffee and cake.
[edit] Mine will spend the Last evening of "22 with friends at a BBQ. Good night ladies, and fare thee well.
HAPPY 2023! May it be a year of Blessings and Aabundance (of health, of joy, of friendships, as well as of wallet).
I hope it was joyful. Warm fire, coffee and cake sound nice!
That's why I always wear shoes! Be prepared! I am a Scout at heart hehehe
[edit] No one added for a while... I just got something fishing: [box=#eeddcc]You Win:
