even drawing a cartoon car for Dad's Father's Day voucher last month was challenging enough - I nearly had to give in and trace it :P

Grandad's funeral was this morning - and less than ten minutes into the service, the live stream (that they charge extra for) crashed.... I spent the rest of the service watching a buffering symbol with "we're working on it, please stand by" flashing up on the screen every minute or so, until the page changed to "the service has ended". We should get a downloadable version of the service, but I think Mum's hoping they'll waive the fee seeing as the actual live stream wasn't on for the majority of the service itself! :K

I've had a browse online at some flats, and it's surprising how little wall space there is in some to actually have any furniture like a desk! Thanks :) No idea at all, apart from it being thunderstorm / Tempest themed.... that's about as far as my inspiration got :P

And something's been digging up all the carrots on my allotment plot, plus those in a pot in the garden.... I asked a few people for advice, and it seems that badgers like digging up carrots o.O so that's another thing to have a net around, although I don't know if a net will really stop them seeing as they just charge through the wooden fence panels to get into the garden in the first place!

There is a ton of stuff to do in the game, so you not wrong. You get your money worth and then some. ;) And of course a lot of it is optional.

I am not about to remove my bookshelves to make room for a computer desk. Nope! Nope! Nope! I rather have my laptop set up on my livingroom table. :P That is a start at least. I am not sure where I would take that either really, so I am not much help.

hehe I wouldn't want to remove the bookshelves either! My computer desk has a storage shelf at the base, but most of that isn't usable as it's too close to my legs if I'm using the computer :P At least you can put a laptop away when you've finished with it, so it doesn't clutter the room up ;) I'm trying to keep my sewing desk clear (any surface turns into a dumping ground for stuff 😊) but I'm not very good at keeping it uncluttered!

Doctor's appointment was not great today. He left my left foot alone in the cast because the right foot's sprain was concerning him. He kept finding places that hurt and noticed my foot kept moving to an inward angle. He also noticed my walking isn't correct in the right leg. after a lot of flexing, and examining he told me that the tendon is pulling again in the right and i will have to do the lengthening again in that one... so another surgery. I'm to see him in 2 weeks but yeah, probably another surgery in 2 or 3 weeks is what it boils down too. But that's also if we can get assistance with my parent's church again. If not, I don't know. I'm so upset and been crying. I can't seem to catch a break and it's been hard trying to stay positive.

that stinks on needing to have surgery on that foot again :( Did he explain why it needs lengthening again? Just wondering if it's down to it not taking properly from when he did it originally, maybe there's some kind of discount on the remedial work (given that as far as you were aware originally, it wouldn't need doing again)?

I'm hoping we can get my old trail camera working again (it randomly stopped working a few years ago), so I can set that up on the allotment plot and see what kind of wildlife actually visits overnight ;)

are there any exercises or anything that you can do sitting down (especially if the other leg has a cast) that he can recommend? Just thinking there must be something that doesn't involve walking 'normally' which would still allow for the same kind of range of movement?

I am so sorry you are still dealing with pain and another surgery. :hugs: I really hope the church can help you out, as I am sure this must be a big expense. It is okay to have a good cry, it is only natural when you have a lot to deal with. We will look forward to when your feet has healed and you can move on from this.

I purposely bought a table that also have a place to store my laptop, so my set up works okay. Even though I am sure it is not the best for my back. :P My livingroom or bedroom is pretty tidy, but my storage room is a nightmare. :P Keeping things tidy and organized is difficult in small spaces!

I can see how that would make coming up with something new more tricky, but maybe there is a way to tie them all together? Their stories I mean.

hopefully your foot doc will be able to give you some guidance on things that'd help if you can't do much walking for whatever reason (like if you get a lot of snow or anything like that!) ;)

that's one thing I found with stands for tablets - they're never quite the right angle to use on your lap, nor on a table! I get as far as the idea of getting more room tidier, start working on it, then it just ends up looking worse than it did in the first place 😊

I have not seen Ragnarok, but it does seem pretty interesting. :) I cancelled netflix, but I might get it again later. Who knows. Just found that I was not using netflix much and have a couple of other streaming services instead. The Witcher was good too, but then again I played the game before.

That can easily happen too when you try to tidy up. :P You have no clue where to put things and you get overwhelmed. :P Been there, done that. lol

I have got a plan for my sewing table at least - I've got all my UFOs (unfinished objects) stacked underneath the table, so my aim is to eventually just have a couple of storage boxes and a bag under there, rather than piles of things I should be working on! ....only trouble is, as soon as I finish one make, Mum puts in a request for three more! :P

But if you commission any stories, you still need a rough idea of what you want the story to be - unless you're willing to let the person writing it have complete free rein to write whatever they want ;)

we just got netflix. We have paramount plus and also disney plus with hulu. To be honest, the disney plus is largely so I can watch doctor who. It's coming to them exclusively in America as of October so since it's my fav show i don't want to loose it.

well swimming is a non starter until I don't have casts on for sure. But I have to get more comfortable going places without a mask and I'm not there yet so swimming is out regardless. But aside from the military base, I'm honestly not sure where I could go to swim here.

that's a fair point on masks - I've still not got to the point where I'm comfortable being mask-less so I can't blame you on that!
I guess there's not an open-air pool or anything similar which wouldn't be quite so enclosed?
