= Happy Luminaire!
I remember one year when I was a kid it hadn't snowed for Christmas eve and late that night it started to snow, a lot! The next morning we had about 3 feet of snow. Watching the snow fall Christmas eve is the best!! My favourite wintery smell is a real Christmas tree and favourite food that is uniquely wintery to me is egg nog. :)

Happy Christmas!! Thank you for taking the time to do this ❤

I am not old. I am gracefully aged
My favorite winter memory is probably when we had an ice storm as a kid. Half of my neighborhood lost power, trees were down everywhere, and we were out of school for at least a week. Since my house had power, my parents would invite over a different family every night for dinner who didn't have power. During the day, we would of course do dangerous things like build forts around the trees that had been taken down.
My favorite winter smell is probably steamed apple cider. It's something you don't smell all that often, but when you do, you are instantly cozy.
My favorite winter food is hands down my mom's Christmas cookies. I wait all year for the package to arrive and then hoard them for myself so my family can't have any.

Let's see... My favorite Winter memory is when my son was just a little nugget, and we took him all the way up to the Snoqualmie ski area to go sledding! He was wearing one of those mummy suits like this and he looked like a fat baby for the first time in his (still) so skinny life! LOL As for Winter smell? I know it's winter when I smell those cinnamon pine cones. They're everywhere! In all the stores, even Home Depot. I secretly love them, even though I don't like cinnamon! I really like fruitcake! If it's well done and not sticky or gross. So many are, but the right fruitcake is really good.
thank you for this chance ❤
My favorite winter memory is from when we were young and we would go out to look at Christmas lights on Christmas Eve while Santa brought the presents. Mom and Nana would stay home to help him. lol On the rare bad weather days we had to stay in one of the bedrooms while he brought our goodies. :D My grandfather was then in charge of keeping us busy. Mom was so sad when we grew up.
My favorite smell is the tree! I miss smelling fresh tree since we don't have a live tree anymore. I have gotten a few candles that come really close to that scent, but they are difficult to find.
My favorite winter food. Hmmm. Not sure I have a favorite. It would likely be Poppyseed Kolachi but we've never been able to make it correctly and unfortunately we cannot buy any around here anymore.

Last Winter I went to a thermal bath for the first, and they had this amazing thick spicy hot chocolate, and it was a lovely experience. It's one of my favourite Winter memories ❤️
Thank you for the chance, and Happy Lumi! 🎄💕

Merry Lumi! Thanks for hosting
My favorite winter memory is the blizzard of 78'. My Dad and his friends in the neighborhood built a snowman in our yard that stood as high as the second-floor roofline! He had a huge box for a hat and beer bottle eyes.
My favorite winter smell would have to be freshly baked cookies of course and my favorite food that's uniquely wintery to me would be V-8 as I only get cravings for it in the winter months, not sure why.
are you in on this one yet?
Happy Lumi!
My favorite winter memory was school being cancelled in elementary school! It only happened once or twice in my district, even though I grew up in snowy Minnesota. One day the snow was so bad the governor closed every school in the state! It was very exciting to young me. My favorite wintry smell is definitely pine, not very unique I know but it's so good! My favorite winter food is, strangely enough, pasta salad. I get tired of the snow and cold after awhile, and then I like to eat something that reminds me of warmer days.

happy lumi~ i'm from the southern hemisphere, so i've never had a christmas in winter time haha, but winter here is really lovely still. no snow, but the weather is always real comfortable. my holidays season is always hot and humid, and wrought with impending cyclones lol i'm flying to japan next year for their winter so i'll get to experience an actually cold winter for the first time (might see snow!?!?!?) tagging < fresh new player

One of my favorite memories was one year for Christmas my mother and stepfather got my sister and me a trunk full of 1950's clothing as a gag gift. My parents always got us some sort of gag gift. Personally I loved some of the clothing and used my grandmother's sewing machine to fix up some of the clothing so I could actually wear them. My brother that year got an overwire bra from the same time period. My parents told him it was a double barreled slingshot. He believed it up until they burst out laughing. My favorite wintry smell is the smell outside just after a heavy snowfall. The air smells to clean and crisp. My favorite wintry food is definitely egg nog. I just wish I wasn't dairy intolerant and could actually drink it. I've tried several non dairy versions, but it doesn't compare to the real thing.
Check out this giveaway.
thank you so much for this fun giveaway! my favourite winter activity was going sledging with my cousins, there used to be a big hill near our home and we would spend hours going down that hill. We must have hit every tree there XD afterwards we would go to get hot chocolate because there was a coffee shop nearby! every winter i think about those times!
if your interested in taking part!
- Happy Luminaire! 🎅
I'll be staying home for Christmas. No traveling for me. Our youngest will be here so we'll have him tospoil. >:)
Pinging and to join the fun 🎅
Already joined :D
ty ! My favorite wintry memory would be skating in arenas with dad <3 Favorite wintry smell would probably be the pine smell! I don't have a favorite wintry food xD
My favorite winter memories revolve around cooking, first with my grandmother and my mom when I was growing up, and later with my son when he was younger. There's just something about a warm, cozy, good smelling kitchen on a cold day. :)
My favorite winter smell is cedar trees. We haven't had a live tree in many years, but we still have cedars in the woods behind our house and I love walking in the woods on a cold, crisp day and just taking in the aroma.
For favorite winter food it was a hard choice but I think I have to go with divinity as the other foods I make throughout the year, but divinity candy is strictly for winter/Christmas around our house. :)
come join the winter fun!
I've got a ton of winter memories but my favorite has to be either the one white christmas we spent when I was a kid with my grandparents in kentucky (when no one but my granddad believed me it was snowing on christmas at 5am when I decided everyone HAD to be awake to see. Farmers always know.) or the year we had an icepocalyspe here in the south where it was such a bad "blizzard" (aka unprepared southern states who have exactly 2 salt trucks to deice roads) we lost power for three days and actually used our fireplace! And candles. So many everywhere I'm sure there are still wax spots in a few places.
That smell of a warm fire is still a favorite of mine, the ones where it's not smokey or damp, just crisp and cozy, as is delicious homemade hot cocoa with freshly whipped cream- half the time it was supposed to go on a pie but got used up first!

Thank you for such a generous giveaway!!
One of my favorite memories is waking up as a child and realizing my mom didn't get me up for school. SNOW DAY!!! <3
Favorite smell is Cinnamon, hands down. I love it all year long, not just at Christmas. And food/drink would have to be chai tea. YUM!
a fun giveaway! <3
Same as (Thanks for the ping ^^) ice skating in the park next to me was really, really pleasant! And just crashing ( voluntarily :P ) in a snow bench when I had to stop. I was a really lonely kid so there's not much to say about it. It still bring a lot of nostalgia. As for my favorite smells, cinnamon. I love cinnamon all year long but for ambiance candles it's only in winter. And it's everywhere! lol For my wintery food... It's tricky as I don't know the name. My family calls it ''Boules de neige'' which means snowballs in french. ^^ Just because of the look of it! Like a dumpling in a nice savory turkey bouillon!
Thanks for the tag
Favorite winter memory is the first year I had my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. I take great pride in how well I can drive in the snow, and finally I have a car literally built to drive in wintry conditions. We had a really bad snowstorm up here before I had the chance to put my snow tires on, and a few of my friends ended up getting ditched. On comes Divi to the rescue, picking people up and taking people places. My car was still new too, so it felt so warm in there. Probably one of my best memories since it's talked about so fondly among my friends as well.
Favorite wintry smell is Peppermint Hand Soap. You can only find the good stuff during the December holidays, and I always buy a bunch on clearance at the end of the month so I always have some year-round
Favorite winter food? Technically you can make this whenever, but there is a dessert called "Divinity" which a friend served me the year I changed my name (to Divinity). I had no idea it existed, and while its not the MOST delicious food, I'm always looking forward to seeing it in stores, where I audibly announce to everyone with me "HEY LOOK, ITS ME!!!".
