All of them. There are no more pumpkins on site because all of them were used as Spider drops for me :p

In 44 battles with two pets, I got 5 shrieks and just doubled the amount I have had so far o.O I think I need to keep battling for a bit...

Is anyone trying for wins with T9 pets, and if so what set are you using?

After 110 battles with my top 3 pets and zero shrieks, I’m getting a little desperate to eek out some wins with my T9s. I just want one. Just one shriek. But I’m terrible at figuring out battle sets.

My first thoughts on reading this were: 'Did it get nerfed or something? It doesn't look like it would have been a gamebreaker even before tiers. Also, can an entirely 1P game really be said to have a "meta"?'

Well, I looked it up. It's from her first appearance! It doesn't just predate the tier system (2012), it predates the armory revamp (2010). It must have had totally different stats! There really was PvP! I had completely forgotten. What did it do that was so amazing?

Unfortunately stealing Nightlady's look seems to have offended her; no Shrieks for me this year.

For anyone who peeked at the armory stats on the Scythe of the Widow and dismissed it out of hand: it boosts speed by 30, and after a cumulative speed boost of 50 it procs a secondary attack—15 :dmg:dark:, 5 :dmg🔥, 6-12 :dmg:physical:, 40 :block🔥, and (I believe) 40-85 flat :heal:. At 29 average icons and 3 mod slots, this is still a couple of grades behind the best of t7 offensively, but it could get quite cheap and it does hit harder than anything with a comparable heal.

The fire block is interesting and I like that we're trying out meaningful defense in the mid-tiers, but I suspect that between the greater ROI of adding stats at those tiers and the laborious weapon set interface it won't have much impact.

Anyone got a dark blocker for tier 10 I could borrow pleaae? My poor tier 10 is struggling beyond 4 wins......

I used OHS and MCAB with my T10. Probably not ideal, it was just the T10 set I already had put together and got me to 10 wins so I left it alone. But if you want to borrow either I can send over.

And in other news I now have 135 wins, 100 of which with a single pet, and still no shrieks.

Thanks. There's always next year I guess. The worst thing is really just that I use Nightlady as the measurement of my pets' progress in battle, so it's tough that I spend all year looking forward to Morostide and battling her for Shrieks... and then have zip to show for it.

I shouldn't say that, I got lots of tomes and amulets which will go towards beating her up next year. I just really wish I had gotten even a single Shriek. Talk about poopy luck.

I think I'm going to turn in my amulet hoard though and maybe try to boost one of my T9s up to T10 to squeak in a few wins, unless my Mage luck is as terrible as my Shriek luck lol.
