I don't think it tasted like celery...its like distinct kind of like starfruit? when I lived in FL I had one in the backyard...it was a funky shape but when you cut it...shaped like a star :D It was like an apple/orange/weird juicy meat up lol :P and haha its not really 61 in there though :P that's just what the temp is set at so it doesn't get to like 80 degrees lol

well its just a window unit not actual central (unfortunately) LOL XD so its not really 61 degrees in there :P hence why we have it so low so that room doesn't get hot haha but I'm sure we'll find out soon on cost meep

I didn't know all of that. Liz is almost 26 so she's been out for a few years. What bugged me was they kept trying to pound 2+2 =4 into her head and never bothered teaching her any history, science or anything that might of stuck in her brain and caught her interest. I mean if you haven't got 2+2=4 by 6th grade maybe they should just move on.

yeah there's a lot of horrible things in schools now which totally sucks because I'd love for her to have social interaction but not at the expensive of the gov trying to brainwash my kid ya know? my hubbys daughter can't do 1st grade math and she's in 5th grade...they say it doesn't matter and they'll teach her life skills so obviously some schools don't do that lol XD

And I was wrong, the squirrel go into the pot and then also into the last strawberries plant that we have. It dug up all the roots...I am pissed

We have peanuts out there, but the squirrels don't always eat them. There weren't any strawberries growing, only the leaves. I gotta get a boy to bed and I might head that way myself soon.

update

So today's been a pretty hellish and tough day for me. My doctor is out of town on a family emergency and the other doctor in the office isn't qualified to do many things. Well apparently he has a friend in Atlanta who came down (2 hour drive) to help out whilst he was still in Africa. So I got to see her. She was running behind because of an accident in Atlanta causing a traffic jam and arrived at 10.15 which was when she arrived as well :/ So I had to wait forever to see her. They also had a difficult patient ahead of me which didn't help. Anyway, the nurse decided to tell the doctor that I always take off any wrapping that isn't a cast--a complete non-complyant patient. Whilst it is true I have a history of that, I've never done it for my foot during the surgery recovery. But even when i tried to defend myself, she laid into me so bad that I felt like a slug. Believe me, I'm extremely well aware of the problems being diabetic causes. She told me i had to do complete bed rest/no walking for the next two weeks to try to get this wound to heal. Then to insure I complied she put the cast on in a way that make it impossible for me to walk on the foot. So I'm forced to use my walker for everything. I was in a LOT of pain most of the day. my apt was at 10.30 but with all the delays and such I didn't leave until 1.30. I did my best to help put the groceries way with dad and my scooter then I laid on my bed for a short nap. I finally had to take tynol 3 at dinner time. Im also really sore in my legs from using the scooter so much. Anyway that's been my day. back pain too because those chairs aren't comfortable and I already have back problems. So...there's my update. Another cast and scooter all the time which is hard and not sure how I'm gonna shower. -sighs- Next apt is 6th of July.

wow that sounds really awful on your day and really freaking rude. I'd have another doctor take my cast off because its not practical and maybe have a sincere talk with your doctor about how you don't appreciate his replacement while he's gone and all the reasons you mentioned. Making someone appear to be a non compliant patient when they are just trying to do things that are best/fit them better is NOT a bad patient. And the fact that she put on a cast in a way you couldn't walk is really truly an asshole move. Really sorry dear that you've got a sub doctor who's a dick (let's call it what it is lol) shakes head and hopefully you heal up soon and the pain goes away soon <3 and ahh thank you on the cooler temps, I sure hope so haha :) and okay its kind of a garden but its my first and I'm sure I'll destroy it somehow before the end LOL :) I did mention spraying the dogs with water but hubs said they are quick and runs off (apparently he's already tried) Yeah fences are SO nice! We are renting and out here no one bothers doing fences so hopefully we can save for a house and then buy a house and put up a fence if it needs one so we have some privacy. I agree. At least she should've said this to the doctor before they entered the room. You don't need to make your patients feel like shit. Well, I can't really afford that--plus removing the cast comes with risks like disturbing the wound and exposing it to more bacteria. So even if money wasn't an issue, there's more other problems with it. Honestly, even though this sucks and I hate this cast so much--it is probably best to leave it alone and see if this helps. Having it relaxed might make it heal better. She did say this was a tough location to heal and being diabetic makes things heal slower. It really is so much more work... Using the scooter is easy--but you kick really rather than walk. That's not overly hard on its own. But what's added in this is that your knee on the scooter is balancing. So you're using muscles just to stand with one leg in knee cradle. Now, add in that you can't put your bum leg down on the ground-- Remember the fiberglass cast won't bend or move and is slippery on tile. Now think of how are you getting down onto the loo? You have to hop a round a bit... and without touching the bad leg to the ground and trying not to whack the loo, which by the way hurts like hell, you've got to stand up from the loo and get back on the scooter... say nothing of those tight turns and trying to wash your hands. Then have to get back onto the bed. Remember you can't bend the foot so you kinda have to "bounce" and climb around on the bed. (been doing that bit for three months.) Try it-- now imagine doing this all day. With the cast in the walking position you can at least rest the foot more comfortably when sitting with legs down. But not with this type. you are pretty much forced to have to elevate, which isn't easy when having a pee or getting around the house. And say sitting on the floor? Nope, forget it. Getting into the van? Challenging. Getting out of the van? Challenging.... not being able to have the foot down comfortably driving in the van? Miserable.... -sighs- But at the end of the day, if she is right I have to try it. If in two weeks though, it's not healed, then I will totally ask my doc for a new cast in the walking position because then I'll tried it. In the meantime, I guess I just have to work with it or stay less mobile. However, I was thinking of telling the doc about the nurse. I'm a pretty mellow patient. I mean I never even asked how long I'd be in a cast. -shrugs- I figured I'll be in it until it's no longer needed. He's even said I'm one of his most mellow patients to his brother. He's also said he didn't get upset at people for removing bandages or casts even. He understands that everyone has their issues and sometimes its not really in their control if they do take things off. I apologised last time I came back for an adjustment on the cast and he said, don't worry. I don't get mad at having to adjust a cast. What would make me mad is you not saying anything and there's something wrong and you're leg is falling off but you've said nothing. The same nurse has teased me (at least I thought it was teasing at the time) about saying to doc that I'll do whatever he wants but come back the next day. She did a funny limp and said I need it fixed-- but I am now wondering if she wasn't teasing. I'm trying to let it go, but being accused of something that is inaccurate isn't something I am very good with. If I'm wrong, I will take my lumps. I've always been that way. But if it's unjustified, now that doesn't sit well with me. Hell, I was even the bloody one who told my doctor that a cast would be better than the removable cast. That it would only be too tempting to make small walks and it would only hurt me if I didn't tell him. How is that bloody noncompliant?

I was fully prepared to have to have the cast back on. But I wasn't prepared for an assault on my character or being put in a less manageable cast for two weeks. Both hurt in very different ways. And I'm going to be stuck largely in my bedroom so this is going to be a long two weeks. What's worse is I really need my new glasses so I can read/watch telly better. I'm having a hard time right now seeing the positive side.
