I had the same when my Dad passed he suffered from Parkinson's. I miss our chats, and saying things to make him laugh. He loved stories about pranks, I love pulling pranks and now I do them in his memory and know he would be laughing with me and at me, LOL.

Fond memories are great during the difficult times. I could make my Dad laugh talking about events on 07-07-77 or the pay back he got for all his pranks. Yes they really are diseases that are hard for the person and their family, who worry about them. Especially when you see them embarrassed by something beyond there control. When no one really cared, we just were happy to have more time with him. HUGS remember all the good times, funny things said or done.

It is 1:40 AM on the 5th and i cannot sleep. The Sky Explosions continue here in Fresno where I'm visiting my Author and his mate. The humans have been shooting off sky explosions now for ten hours straight, since about 3:00 PM this afternoon, even when it ws still light outside. And It hasn't stopped. Ant the explosions are right overhead. The police and the sheriffs and the military aren t even trying to curtail them. I'm a nervous wreck.

We didn't see any fireworks this year since we were so tired from our road trip. I did read that there were so many grass fires around the DFW area and even one pretty close to where I live, by one of the high schools. People seemed to have forgotten that we are in a drought and a burn ban in place. Even the firework show that the Forth Worth City puts on every year had to stop early due to a grass fire where they were doing the show. Then in some places the people were shooting fireworks at the firetrucks who were only trying to do their job.

Mine didn't pay much attention during the fireworks, though the noise ended before 0:00.

Much ado 'bout nuthin' today, a few errands and some prep for tonight's meeting. Best mine start now.

: "primitives" LOL....I'm currently writing a story about Amanda Buckeye, the future of Master of Mines and Mineralogy. Her mining operations include harvesting a large salt dome near Lake Woodrow Wilson, managing a small gold deposit in the quartz hills near the Northwest Fork of the Kings River and ramping up production of a newly opened garnet mine in the granite mountains North of Glen Meadow. (Yes, the small animals are very good at mining using large numbers of workers and limited technology...picks, sledges and star drills.)

The garnet miners discover "globes" of pure crystal garnet that encase rapidly spinning monocline crystals. Amanda quickly discovers that the spinning crystals, when released from their globes, can act as miniature teleportation devices, moving tiny objects instantly from one end of the crystal to the other. When she accidentally breaks the crystal, she discovers that it still teleports, no matter how far apart the two halves are separated.

When larger and larger crystals are discovered, the small animals begin to use these crystals to facilitate their mining operations, teleporting minerals out of the mine instantly, producing large quantities of industrial-quality garnet abrasives that they sell under contract with the humans, making the small animals wealthy.

Eventually, Amanda discovers that by manipulating the crystals with different sound frequencies, teleportation can take place not only across space, but across time. By manipulating time and space, the small animals, with the technological help of the humans, advance science and technology in exponential leaps and bounds. Essentially, the small animals become the intellectual overlords of the humans.

So your comment about the "primitives" made me LOL out loud in context to this short story I'm currently writing.

{SPOILERS!!! It doesn't work out very well for the small animals and the humans in the future......}

: The sky-explosions were so intense, all the cats in the house were hiding in the closet (the only time I've ever witnessed all four of those beasts huddled together and not hissing or wrestling) Car alarms were going off all the time, and there were no breaks in the onslaught between 9:00 PM until around 1:00 AM. It was like being in the middle of a 360 degree commercial firework production, only all illegal. The only thing the authorities could do is film it using drones in an attempt to document the worst offenders and prosecute them later. (this is the local theory for the presence of several large drones in the area.)

How was your meeting?

I did have a very nice 4th of July with my Author and his family. Welly and I played in the pool most of the morning and later in the afternoon with the human children. There was so much wonderful food and drinks. My favorite was the grilled asparagus and grilled summer squash, the pork ribs and the macaroni salad and the banana pudding with fresh strawberries and cool whip and the fresh fruit salad made with Greek yogurt and the sausages and the bacon and the ale and later some whiskey...and then swimming.....We had a blast! (pun intended.)

Thanks! I have seen like 4-5 items over the last couple of days. Probably because I havent broken the habit of checking so much, since getting achievement.

Mine will say they don't seem as long as mine young years belay memory. Mine still sit in the far right of the seating, usually an entire row to mineself. Mine will dispense of greetings and pleasantries, but feel mine a fly on the wall there.

One last yard to mow, but it will have to be done tomorrow. Mine been inspecting mine car, an several trouble spots grab mine attention, the suspension is askew, it needs exhaust components, all the brakes need replacing, an there is a recall service mine need to address asap. Mine also need to look into some EVAP leaks, but mine haven't the tools to pinpoint the leaks. Most of these problems mine can take care of, while others are better done during open labs.

This old car is gonna be what drags mine through that road trip. This be the grudging process to get it to survive the way. Mine worked on previous cars, and the experience allows mine to proceed with some confidence.

Bears I was thinking about when I get strong urges to call family or friends, that my conscience or mental need doesn't rest until I do. I have had this experience many times and go with it. Sometimes, that particular person may just need to hear another caring voice, or someone just to listen. I recently felt this way about one of my sisters. For a whole weekend, and all of last week I felt the need to talk with her. I made several attempts to reach her by phone and left messages. This didn't quiet the need to hear her voice, finally she called. Turns out, she just need to have a good talk. But my radar/mental voice, wouldn't quiet down until I hear from her. She was okay just needed a sister talk and someone to listen to her. So if you feel that you should call someone or go visit them, just do it. You will find out why later, you dont need answers for action. Listen to your mind and heart. You will be glad you did. HUGS
