Well today I had my doctor's appointment. He removed the cast and felt the foot. The second he touched the wound I called out in pain. Apparently it's still leaking a bit of bone paste as gross at it sounds to me. He did hydrotherapy on both feet and then wrapped the surgical foot again and put the cast back on. He told me it had to go back on if for no other reason than to prevent me from snapping the tendon--totally makes me feel really comfy about that...blech. LOL. Anyway the left is getting better but still has wounds so it was also wrapped but in an ac bandage on it. I've definitely been in pain today.

Ah damn, was hoping to read that the cast was officially off ! Bone paste sounds so funny, is it like the marrow ? Keep on healing ! ❤️

Hi I hope you're both okay. I am back from my trip and unsuprisingly it was a mess. Our direct flight there was cancelled as we arrived at the airport. We had to get them to rebook us on another airline and we ended up with downgraded seats and a one stop with plane change instead of a direct nonstop. It also took our total travel time (with airport time) from 7 hours to over 14 hours. Then the same thing happened on our return flight but thankfully we got that change prior to going to bed the night before - so instead of a nonstop roughly 7 hour journey and arriving home at 10:30am yesterday, we had an 11 hour delay to when we left, and a 12 hour journey with our new stop and plane change and got home at 12:30am today (thankfully we were able to get another ride from the one we had planned to get home). The trip itself had some fun moments but I'm very tired and very in pain.

I did get to hold a baby alligator though!

eww thats awful. Was it frontier airlines? Mum went on them one time with her work and she hated it and swore never to go back on that airline ever.

No, it was Delta. Apparently they (and every other airline) are mass cancelling flights amid staff and pilot shortages and also booking more flights than they could reasonably accommodate to begin with. It was a nightmare book-ending my trip and definitely caused me a lot more pain and discomfort.

nope not likely my friend. Mels is being boarded for the day. It's gonna be awful day. I go to bed at 6am right now until we can get mum's sugars stable through the night--I have to have her check it at 3 am and 6am. So with less than 3 hours sleep, (with dad driving) I have to drop Melody off at 9am, then drive to Macon (30 mins away) to Bath and body works so I can swap out two lotions which are proving to bother me way too much. Then to Sams to pick up our order curbside and to my pharmacy/chemist to pick up my medications... Then come home and have lunch. I can finally sleep for 3 hours (provided I can fall asleep) before we have to go to pick Melody back up and go to walmart, Petsmart and kroger for curbside pick ups and put it away before eating dinner.... I'm already exhausted

That does sound gross, but also fascinating. Healing nicely now ? I am having a worse reaction to the sun nowadays, since I have been getting even less sun than before thanks to the pandemic and moving out into the boons with bears and mountain lions on the property making me stay inside more. I need to make it a point to go into the sun more and rebuild my immunity (not the right word but my brain is dead).
