I think my little one is on the way over the ... she eats almost nothing more and is quite cold.... I always have her with me when she is not sleeping... since she is not in pain and is doing well so far, I don't want to use force and all means with the vet to try to do what is possible... it almost tears me apart to see how quickly she changes, but I think as long as an animal has no pain, you have to let nature take its course... I hope she makes it to christmas... i was so hoping she can finally enjoy her garden.... but apparently she hears the call of her sister who crossed the bridge a few weeks ago... my little mouse is 13 years old, so I don't expect her to go through any more ordeals at the vet... maybe i'll be lucky and she'll only get a "granny figure"... but her eyes are so tired...

oh noooo. the little ones in or lives for those great years are entwined in your heart and become a part of your heart forever. Is it a dog or cat? ou just lost one last month too?? I wish you a good holiday with her being with you. My heart breaks for you. i have just been through that not to long ago and life wasnt the same ever.(((quiet hugs))))

I like the idea of sharing traditions from your different cultural heritages.

I see my older children making new traditions (like serving fried hen and strawberry cake) for Christmas ) and it is exciting. ( a little hard to get used to eating anything fried and not baked...but who am I to complain, If it were up to me, we'd all be eating naked, dripping wet around a quickly thrown together fire down by the creek to roast on a stick whatever it was that I caught before we all freeze to death.)

: Healer's Hall is fortunate to grow two kinds of persimmons, the little round crunchy ones and the heart-shaped soft ones. Both are a cherished here by all the wee creatures. What we can't eat right away, we store away for later. The little round crunchy ones are sliced and are dehydrated and can be stored for up to a year that way. The soft ones are pulped and made into persimmon puddings that are later soaked in rum or brandy and stored down in the cold cellar for up to two years. (nobody has ever found a one-year old pudding, let alone a two year old one. The last ones are usually served up by the Spring Equinox.) Always served with hard sauce made from Poppy's Famous Bourbon Whiskey.

My husband is going to run a Christmas one-shot in Icewind Dale n Wednesday and we'll open up gifts with the rest of the group at the end of the year. That's when the two will be coming back from visiting family. One of then ran a Thanksgiving one shot and we had to fight a turkey haha.

I will have to do a bit of research on how each of our cultures celebrate holidays. That will be fun to learn and pass on to Michael :)

I don't need any occasion to give gifts, a good example is for a friend whom won a Mario kart tournament I challenged him with. We played every tack in random order, the condition for a win is he must place first and keep me from placing. This happened on thanksgiving, and took about five hours.

That he did, I was fourth overall and he won with over 500 points. Zo, I planned to give him a few rewards. I managed to find two suitable gifts, a Standard kart with Toad, and a Joy-Con charger for his Switch. I may have to wait until after the 25th to deliver the loot.

hi everyone sorry i've been absent. i contracted covid last week and i've been miserable

Hey ! It's been a long time since my last post, lol.

I can't believe it's almost Christmas. I swear the last couple months flew by. I haven't totally been feeling the holiday spirit lately and haven't even done my usual Lumi gifting post in the beginning of the month. Not sure if I will even get around to it....been busy and only pop on for a couple dailies.

My 14 year old cat, Fluffy, just had to have surgery to remove her right eye because it never recovered after she had an URI and vet believes she caused trauma to the eye by scratching it, so it ruptured. She's home now and seems to be doing well, aside from not being happy with the cone of shame she needs to wear for the next 2 weeks. I'm sure she's feeling better with the bad eye gone and no longer irritating her.

Anyway, I definitely don't find myself on here long enough each day. I get busy with homeschooling my youngest niece, playing ACNH, snuggling with our cats (we have 5!) and such.

Sorry the eye had to go, but at least pets seem to adjust quickly to such losses. LOL the collar is probably annoying her more than the eye now!
