Good evening Lair Bear Friends...This is Lieutenant Colonel Weldon George of the Watcher Air Command, I am Lady Frieda's life-mate. I normally don't initiate conversations on her account. But I have some news to share...

On November 9, Lady Frieda and I were scheduled to travel down to Fresno to spend (American) Thanksgiving with her Author and his family, as has been our tradition now for many years. However, She wasn't feeling well and she sent a text message to him to cancel his trip up the mountain to come and get us, we would stay home this year.

On the 10th, she felt much better and regretted canceling and almost asked to be re-invited. But, despite her tendency toward impulsivity, she is nothing if polite and considerate. She was disappointed, but she got over it by making plans for a big Thanksgiving Feast here at Healer's Hall for her friends and staff.

Everything was going well the following week, right up to the 18th, National Rural Health Day, one of her favorite causes, when she suddenly took ill that evening. Her second in command, Healer Brenda Wheezle took her to the Mother and Child Ward and confined her to bed, it seems her pregnancy was more advanced than anybody had thought and yet, the offspring were in danger of being born prematurely. Wee creatures do not often survive prematurity.

My mate has survived battle, crashes, beatings, kidnappings, and several attempts on her life, but nothing worried me more than this very difficult pregnancy. But Lady Frieda is strong. Stronger than most and she has the love and prayers of not only her clan and tribe, but of the entire Watershed. A non-stop prayer vigil was initiated for her on the 18th and continued until 24th when she was delivered from her confinement and produced 7 beautiful healthy offspring. Needless to say, we had a truly blessed Thanksgiving.

All the little females are pure white like their mother, with a black stripe on the tail that resembles an arrow. The little males are all pure black with white arrows on their wee tails, just like their uncle Friedrich. Each litter-mate survived the first 24 hours and were given their names on Thanksgiving by Lady Frieda. I have a month to add their secondary, tertiary and quantanary names, as it the father's prerogative. Here then are their primary given names in birth order...

1. Pepper (Patricia)
2. Pauli (Pauline)
3. Tansi (Tansy Aster)
4. Ziggi (Sigmund)
5. Quinci (Quintus ...the fifth one)
6. Dori (Doris...My Generation)
7. Merti (Myrtle...Myrtus...Love)

Lady Frieda is resting with her litter, ( she has the entire healing staff begging to take care of her and the little ones, but she is able to hold her own with the help of our fifth offspring from our first litter, Aya, who is Lady Frieda's personal assistant at Healers Hall. I help out when I can, I'm very adept at changing nappies.

She hopes to return to the Lair soon in anticipation of Lumainaire.

Finals are upon me, I have one week to finish up my assignments. Mine unsure about this week's shop, but it appears to be the last. I suppose this would be when I can try for Level 2 certification.

I don't need luck, I need to study. I could use another turn on the Pro-Cut machines, before trying for certification.

, hello 🐻, i just wanted to let you know that cap is back from the hospital. she is still knocked out and is now sleeping off the anesthesia. the results are good, she will tell you everything else herself.

on a personal note, please, please go for regular checkups. you often don't think it's necessary because you're doing well, but you see it with corona, the smaller the "enemy" the worse the consequences. in many countries people don't have this possibility medically and everyone who can do the checkups should definitely take advantage of them. as cap says; you only hear it from others and your world collapses when you are suddenly affected yourself. i would be really angry if i had to die from a disease that i could have avoided, but was just too lazy to go to the doctor. I read a lot of what you post and am happy about every single person who gets well again and have the greatest respect for everyone who takes up the fight against a sickness. 🌹

I hope everything goes right with the PC too...I heard a major horror story about someone who wanted a new PC and everything just kept going wrong......

hope he enjoys it! I put a fire in a corner and some boxes for extra supplies. I cook stuff while I'm in there waiting for the horde to show up :). I've also upgraded from simple cobblestones to concrete. LOL half the time any damage done is me hitting the walls/iron bars instead of zombies.

Happy Luminaire! : I missed much of the good food of Thanksgiving, I was put on a strict natural diet during the last week of my confinement, and strict bedrest. But now that I delivered, I fully intend to compile Weldon to make up for missing all that great food by making all the Yule foods at least one week early than he normally does. That means Stollen Saturday is this coming weekend! (of course, he won't budge on the whiskey fruitcake, it has to "soak" for the full year, so he says...)
