You are suggesting the unique effects of Spork and KWand don't compensate for one mod slot of difference?

Some comparisons for Kwand:

Lets say EoR on 5th slot, this is on avg +8.16 icons (2.16 unblockable) Assume Kwand has an overall 20% freeze rate, this averages to ((40+46)/2)*0.2 = +8.6 icons

  • Wrath of K does 34-42, and has a curse doing 18 icons of unblockable dmg for 3 turns. At 10% activation, it averages +5.4 icons per turn. Lets say freeze is effective and so Kwand comes out ahead both in dmg (wok 39.4-47.4 vs kwand 48.6-54.6) and usefulness of the freeze, otherwise it's somewhat even (wok 39.4-47.4 vs kwand 40-46)

  • With an extra slot, SSB does +8.16 more than Kwand. 2 turn block & heal vs freeze - The heal is more universal but freeze is better on effective opponents. If the opponent can be consistently frozen, it's damage is even (ssb 48.16-54.16 vs kwand 48.6-54.6) and Kwand edges slightly ahead with the better effect. Otherwise, SSB does more in terms of both effect and damage.

  • With an extra slot, Bstaff does +8.16 more than Kwand. Its curse does 28 unblockable icons for 2 turn. At 10% activation, it averages +5.6 icons per turn. Even with consistent freezes Kwand falls a bit behind (kwand 48.6-54.6 vs bstaff 53.76-59.76) - the extra damage mitigation and healing potential of a freeze trading blows with a consistent +5.16 icons of dmg from bstaff, +7.76 as unblockable dmg. If opponents that resist freezing or are freeze disabled, then its no contest with Bstaff doing +13.76 more icons every turn

  • Not many T12 weapons, but demi-god Cronus Blade is one of them. 44 icons and a curse doing 15 icons of unblockable dmg for 3 turns. With consistent freezes Kwand is ahead (kwand 48.6-54.6 vs cronus 48.5). Otherwise, Kwand slightly loses out slightly compared to the T12 demi-god (kwand 40-46 vs cronus 48.5).

Summary: If the opponent can be consistently frozen, Kwand beats Wrath of K and Cronus Blade, is comparable to blessing-typed godlies like SSB, and somewhat loses out against curse-typed godlies like Bstaff. If opponent is resistant or cannot be frozen, then Kwand is completely overshadowed by the other godlies, ties with Wrath of K, and slightly loses to Cronus Blade.

At endgame, many opponents have some form of freeze protection and even on freezable enemies, the effect overlaps with freeze chain scrolls. Overall, I see Kwand is closer to a T12 demi-god in performance than a T12 god - even among T11 godlies, it's rather lacking.

Some comparisons for Spork:

Lets say EoR on 5th slot, this is on avg +8.16 icons (2.16 unblockable) Spork has a 25 icon curse for 1 turn, this averages to +2.5 icons at 10% activation rate

  • With a 5th slot, SSB is pretty even with the Spork damage-wise (ssb 48.16-54.16 vs spork 48.5-52.5). On the effect, the Spork has a slight edge with the additional freeze protection, higher heal amount, and weapon restriction. The two is pretty close, but Spork has the edge on this one.

  • Ostaff is very similar to SSB but has a more consistent heal with its 3 turn duration. Compared to the Spork they are pretty even with the weapon restriction balancing out the healing consistency of Ostaff.

  • Mstaff's curse does 26 unblockable icons for 2 turns. At 10% activation, it averages +5.2 icons per turn. Together with a 5th mod slot, it does more damage than the Spork (mstaff 53.36-59.36 vs spork 48.5-52.5). Here, Mstaff provides a consistent +4.86-7.16 over the Spork, +2.86 as unblockable dmg. The trade is over the Spork's blessing and weapon restriction effects. Again, the two is pretty close with Mstaff focused on damage output while the Spork on sustain.

  • Among the godlies, Sandreaver comparatively has both blessing and curse like the Spork. Damage-wise, Sandreaver is the winner with its 17 icon curse for 3 turns (an avg of +5.1 icons with a 10% activation), and a 5th mod slot (sandreaver 53.26-59.26 vs spork 48.5-52.5). Looking at the effects and blessings: on effective opponents, Sandreaver's 250 dark and physical blocks can outperform the Spork's heal and weapon restriction mitigation, while the Spork's effects are more universal. Sandreaver's additional turn of freeze/steal protection also gives more consistency compared to the Spork's 2. Overall, Sandreaver is ahead with its higher damage output.

  • Spork is similarly a T12 weapon. Demi-god Cronus Blade does 48.5 icons together with its curse. It is easy to see that the Spork wins out with it's slight edge on damage (spork 48.5-52.5 vs cronus 48.5) and effects.

Summary: The Spork is an amazingly balanced weapon among its godly peers - it is comparable to most, slightly winning out some, and doesn't lose terribly against the powerhouse Sandreaver.

The one issue.. how is it a T12 Healer? Taking up the healer slot, it could be said that the weapon's focus is on sustain, healing, cleric rather than raw damage output. This is reflected by its damage being fairly even with the blessing-typed T11 godlies and that of a T12 demi-god. That said, its effects provide less consistent freeze/steal protection than Sandreaver, and less consistent healing than Ostaff. The weapon restriction effect merely helps balance things out with damage mitigation.

Overall, the Spork is more in line as a regular T11 godly than having performance and healing consistency of a tier 12 level healer.

The suggestion to add a 5th mod slot helps push them closer to true T12 godlies (and also its nice to have all godlies be 5 slots). Realistically, Kwand probably needs even more help while the Spork needs more consistency for its Healer status.

Did they ever mention if SoSS or Wrath of K would be getting a similar upgrade, or ever specifically shoot down the idea of upgrading them (or increasing the price)

if this cursed website ever lets me back into the forums for longer than six seconds at a time i will update the first post today

your best bet would be to ping purge and cranberry (over in the chat, please, i'd like this to stay focused on what's in the box) because i don't think anyone asked about those specifically; i think the only reason the boxed ones got an upgrade is because asked about it

thanks I actually found my answer I think.

BTW does Briefcase still need testing?

[edit] Martenez Gun 12 Fire, 12 Phys, 12 earth, 12 Magma, 12 Wind (60 total) Generate Briefcase

Martenez Breifcase Blocks 25 of each Heals 20% Scorched Skin Curse 2 Fire 1 Dark at least 70 turns Generates Blade

Martenez Blade 15-18 Phys 13-15 Earth 17-18 Light Blocks 9 Fire 9 Ice Generates Bow

Martenez Bow 12-14Phys 12-14 Light 12 Wind Blocks 10 Dark 10 Earth 10 Magma Heals 10% Generates Gun

Leaving it as the Gun, and having it transform to the briefcase isn't actually that bad. I don't think its worth using the Blade or Bow Modes though. I think everything except for that curse and the transform order were knowable from the tooltips.

Looks like I missed your post by a second lol. As soon as I posted the edit I got your ping lol. Not a ton to add from the tool tips at least.

[edit] Also realized these quotes might be helpful to you:

"Cranberry posted on Battle Chat 2021 Part 3 (See Post 1 for Battle Resources!) September 5, 2021 07:44 pm (1 month 17 hours 27 minutes ago) Re: The Hustler news post

Box stock is limited: 40 total of the godly box and 125 total of the fanciful box will go out. They will restock over time until that limit is reached.

Purchase limit per person: one godly box per day, two fanciful boxes per day.

Jason and I are here (and in the news comments) to answer any questions!"

"Purge posted on Battle Chat 2021 Part 3 (See Post 1 for Battle Resources!) September 5, 2021 08:05 pm (1 month 17 hours 6 minutes ago) If the news post wasn't clear, the Fanciful Box will be available as battling prizes in the future. We're not going to cut off the supply of the demi-godlies like that.

As for why this method. It's either let the top 1% of battlers who already own the best weapons, get more of them via battling. Or open it up to a larger audience, while getting some godlies into circulation."

"Cranberry posted on Battle Chat 2021 Part 3 (See Post 1 for Battle Resources!) September 5, 2021 08:44 pm (1 month 16 hours 26 minutes ago) Quote by Stephen: cranberry do we get to pick what we get out of the 9bil box or is it a gamble? And are you going to increase the price of soss and wrath to 9bil to match? They're both chance boxes.

And no, those two are staying as they are. We don't like to increase prices. This box is for people who really wanted to get their hands on the OG godlies + sandreaver and who found the price was becoming unreasonable. There's no real need for anyone to buy this box; there are plenty of great weapons people can use."

"Cranberry posted on Battle Chat 2021 Part 3 (See Post 1 for Battle Resources!) September 5, 2021 09:22 pm (1 month 15 hours 49 minutes ago) Quote by Stephen:

So what you are saying is that me with my 20bil and nothing to spend it on, is not the target market for these boxes? I can’t risk buying them because I might get a godly I already own, and no one would buy it off me because there are better alternative weapons available. You do have a point about the resale value! We just upped the icons on the godlies from 34-42 to 40-46 to make them a little more valuable without being OP. People can still do just fine battling with the cheaper godlies and other weapons, but the old ones deserve a little boost, especially now that more are entering the economy and they'll be easier to get hold of."

ok so the first post has been updated

if you spot an error please ping me but also please understand if it takes me a while to get back to it because i went through the "close the wrong tab, lose the edit, get stuck in the infinite load" cycle three separate times and i hate it here, the post-maintenance vibes are always terrible[/box]

ok so a couple of clarifying questions re:briefcase when you have a minute

  1. does any form of that thing have mod slots

  2. subetalodge has this as the description for each of the briefcase things - "When used in battle, generates the weapons it can transform into in this order: Bow, Gun, Briefcase, Blade" i am assuming the cycle starts from the form that's in your set? like, you started with the gun because that's the one you have in your armory?

  3. Quote
    Martenez Briefcase [...]
Scorched Skin Curse 2 Fire 1 Dark at least 70 turns
    Generates Blade
am i reading you right, that is a SEVENTY TURN curse from a one turn bomb?? (and none of the other forms have the curse?)

and re: quotes, i was avoiding cluttering up the first post as much as i could (it's already 10k characters). the very last part from cranberry about the icon change is already quoted and tbh i'm tempted to remove it and the quote from purge about mod slots now that i think we've caught all the changes

hey, not sure who i should ping for subetalodge updates, but i just wanted to let you guys know that i think we finally have all (or at least most) of the updates for the old stuff and the stats for the new stuff!

The scorched skin curse is activated by a number of bombs (acorn bomb off the top of my head). Its does seem to last forever or however long the battle lasts, whatever comes first.

All 4 had 3 mod slots, but I also assume that as you go through using it the mods don't persist through the battles.

Ya I start it on the gun, and then it cycles through in the that order. The weapon might as well be called Martenez Gun at this point because that is by far the best mode on the thing.

I tested the curse for at least 70 turns not using any other weapon and and then aboxalypse died :P. Could be longer

The main quote I didn't see was that there were going to be a total of 40 of the godly boxes released.

Some questions:

Hydragellos Maniacal Core Does it only heal when you are under 35% hit points? But always gives 75 light defense? Also does is still have the small chance of the blessing? Defense all icons except physical? And 40 Dark Attack?

oh wow, thank you for letting me know!! i use acorn bomb all the time but never paid attention to its curse, oops ^^;

mmkay thank you for the extra details on the briefcase!

as for the quote -- tbh i'd rather they add "? of 40 sold" or something to the hustler page itself because i don't want to end up having a "40 boxes (? sold)" kind of thing that needs to be updated

missing the blessing for the core is an error on my end, i believe it's still got it! i thought i pulled all the curses/blessings from your guys' stuff, but somehow i missed that one, i'll have to check and make sure i'm not missing any others >:0

& my understanding is the 75 light block is constant, and then the heal is an extra for when you're at low health, like the damage increase ( tested that one for me last month and linked me to you guys for the blessing, so i'm extra ?? as to why i didn't have the blessing in the spoiler, hah)

[edit] "Also does is still have the small chance of the blessing? Defense all icons except physical? And 40 Dark Attack?" are you saying the blessing does 40 dark damage? i can't check that, i was under the impression that it was a similar blessing to the hydra's lost tooth D:

edit ^2: kindly tested it for me -- the blessing blocks 75 of each except physical :D
